I had brought friends here twice because I remember having a great breakfast, and this time I brought my friends here again, expecting the same breakfast, but everything about the restaurant had changed. The menu was terrible, and the restaurant was run by an old woman who took 15 minutes to clear the table and get us seated. I went there to brag to my friends about the breakfast I had in the past, but I was shocked by the terrible menu.

Great spot for a stay on our road trip. Nice view from our room and sat in the patio. To eat dinner. The bartender and server on Wednesday night were super fun and very accommodating. Even if the kitchen didn’t know they served Cajun wings!! Amazing view from the restaurant.

The complimentary breakfast included toast, scrambled eggs, cubed hash browns, pancakes, juice, coffee, tea and cereal. Tasty and well laid out. Room, 6th floor, was adequate, the bathroom was a little small, but had a good view. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Nice older place with quirks

Room was clean and comfortable, although a bit worn and outdated. We had a wobbly chair, a loose sink tap and outdated shower (mounted to the wall) that would randomly switch from hot to cold. The balcony ok with a couple of chairs. The ocean view is pretty but you're looking over a large portion of the hotel to see it. The beach is unsuitable for any use. It's very rocky ankle snapping terrain with large boulders everywhere. We couldn't find a way to get down there anyway. Front desk staff were incredible! Friendly and kind. The elevator and floor situation was super confusing. The 5th floor is actually the ground level entrance. **Note to anyone that may have mobility issues** To get to the restaurant or spa, there are 3 flights of stairs to go down from the 5th floor to the 4th. There are also stairs to get down to the window seating at the restaurant and stairs to get up to the the breakfast buffet and bathroom within the restaurant. The free breakfast isn't the greatest. Scrambled eggs (those powdered or liquid eggs), hashbrowns and pancakes. Cereal for the kids. I asked a server why there aren't any sausages or bacon. Apparently the hotel doesn’t like protein. She said that's what you usually get for free (and insinuated we must not travel a lot which we do), but I told her there usually are sausages or bacon... The coupon for the free breakfast is also valid for 30% off menu items. Didn't bother for the price we already paid for the 3 nights we were there.

The restaurant had a beautiful view. A free buffet breakfast was included. Room was clean. Staff were outstanding. View of the ocean and Quadra Island was beautiful but you are looking down on the rooftop of the hotel. Some areas could use updating but good value for money. Not walkable with the busy road but just minutes to drive into town.
