Amazing Resort, beautiful views and friendly staff

Pros: Beach area, heated pools, jacuzzi, great food from all restaurants on site, friendliness of the staff, renovated guest rooms, gym, cleanliness
Cons: Nothing!
Location: The beach cove was amazing for swimming and snorkeling. We took a 3 hour snorkeling excursion where the boat picked us up directly from the hotel.
My fiance and I stayed at the Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa from January 20th to the 27th, and it was the most incredible hotel experience we've ever had. We ended up booking this hotel after searching flight + hotel vacation packages on Travelocity, after reading many positive reviews and seeing very nice photos of the resort. From the moment we arrived, we noticed not only the impeccable beauty of the hotel, but also how accommodating and friendly the staff was. We checked in with ease and were offered hot towels followed by a green juice refreshment, while admiring the lobby. We made our way down to our room through beautiful hallways lined with greenery. When we opened the door to our newly renovated, pool view room, we were amazed. The room service was great. We came back to a clean room every day to fresh towels, robes laid out on our bed, and a large bottle of water. The beach area, jacuzzi and heated infinity pool were fantastic. The views were spectacular from sunrise to sunset. We enjoyed incredible food from the four restaurants at the resort. Most of our drinks and meals were served to us directly on the beach and pool area without having to get up from our chairs. Every single employee of the hotel was polite, sincere, and extremely friendly. This made our trip so welcoming and special. We have already recommended this resort to all of our family and friends and will happily return!

Location: Scuba Diving!
Everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, beach and pool were beautiful, and the Scuba Diving team was awesome. I couldn't have asked for more. I had the most incredible view of the ocean and everyone was so nice.

First visit to Cozumel

This was our first trip to Cozumel , checked in and found that our room was excellent but later that evening we couldn't regulate the temperature. I called for service and after 2 attempts by servicemen to fix the problem we were informed that it would have to wait till morning for a repair. Lucky for us the room was cold enough to wait till morning. Don't know why we weren't relocated as the hotel wasn't booked solid. The front desk staff isn't bilingual at times, this is a problem if you run out of Spanish. Other than these problems, everything else was fantastic. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the restaurants and ambiance. Be prepared to pay high cab fares to into town and back.

Rained every day, but Hotel is great

Pros: Service, cleanliness, attention to details, friendly staff - always helpful. There is a ship wreck right off the beach.
Cons: Stop the rain????
Location: Cozumel has a good night life and is just a 20 minute boat ride from Playa del Carmen if you want a whole lot more. Scuba nd skin diving is great.
Ok, now you know that it rained every day. Hardly the hotel's fault. The hotel itself, amenities, service, and staff were all excellent. This is the 5th time I stayed at this hotel. I will stay there again. It is kept up very well. It is the most expensive hotel in Cozumel, but you get what you pay for.

El Presidente

Pros: Beach, rooms, ambience.
Cons: Cost
Location: Scuba diving, beach bars, island tours, shopping.
I highly recommend El Presidente. Great rooms, (if you get a 1st floor room, you get an "outdoor" shower with walkout to the beach). The room we had was spacious and very clean. Staff is friendly and efficient but we were there during low season so we never had to wait for anything. Beach is clean, good snorkeling offshore, good swimming pool. But be careful of the FINE PRINT. They offer what they call "European all-inclusive" but that is very misleading. You get the room but no food or drink is included. The meals and beverages are expensive compared to other resorts. We ended up driving our dune buggy to other places to keep meal costs down. We also bought beverages at local supermarket to bring to resort. It does not include water sports, that is sub-contracted to another company on-site. Overall, I would recommend but you will need to keep close track of your costs if you stay only at El Presidente. If you plan on seeing the island, you will need a rental jeep or scooter, the resort is too far to walk to San Miguel town center.

Perfect family vacation spot

A gorgeous setting with a perfect stretch of white beach with translucent temperate water - fish! Iguanas! Birds! Well especially iguanas who have their own "temple" near our room in the 5000s and our hammock - perfect after a long day snorkeling, swimming and sunning. Staff especially jahnni and really everyone took exceptional care of all our needs - booking excursions and restaurants and making our stay memorable - the food was delicious as well- highly recommend!

Nice Hotel, Nice Pool, Awesome Service

Pros: Nothing
My family spent a week at the Intercontinental on the end of June 2015, Hotel was not over capacity at all, staff were always very nice, pool has an 8' deep spot, snorkeling out of the beach was extreme nice they even have a sunken ship not too far way. We would definitely come back there.

Excellent hotel, staff and value

Pros: Staff, location, ambience outside
Cons: Several days there wasn't the promised bottled water in the room. When I called they brought it up in minutes though.
Location: Scuba, snorkel, and relax!
The staff was extremely attentive and nice, every person that I came in contact with had a smile on their face or said hello. If you are here for scuba diving, it's very convenient. I didn't dive with the shop on site but the boats that pick you up right at the hotel take you to the reefs and I was usually last one picked up and first one dropped off.Food was very good and reasonable. I stayed in hotel most of my trip (rare for me).
