TV was not mounted conveniently, you need to turn your head 90 degrees to view it from the bed. On checkout day the car valets were more app focused with no assistance, instead of a personal touch. Given that it is a 5 star establishment, one would think a more personal experience would be the culture. No SPA services within the hotel, the partner facilities were not accommodating.

We had a great stay at Muir. The rooms were stunning, clean, with thoughtful touches. The staff delivered both a piece of cake and card for a birthday we were celebrating, and a cocktail for National Vodka day. The location was awesome, and we loved all the amenities. BKS had delicious cocktails, views, great atmoshphere and service. The gym appeared to be stocked with a wide variety of good quality equipment. We enjoyed our time unwinding in the wellness spa. The only downsides were that we weren't told we had to book a reservation to use the salt room in the wellness area (so we weren't able to get in), and that we had to wait over 20 minutes to have our vehicle retrieved. All in all, it was a fabulous stay though.

The hotel and surrounding area is beautiful. The rooms are lovely and modern. The restaurant drift left us very underwhelmed, and the restaurant staff were not nearly attentive enough for the price point and style.

Opulent, Luxurious and stunning.

This hotel is the definition of luxury. It’s stunning. It has all the extra thoughts a luxury space can be. From a spa, and wellness centre that’s beautiful and a salt related area to help you be calm mind, soul and body - this place rivals any luxury place I’ve gone to in Toronto. A speak easy giving charm on the third floor and mahogany beautiful wood walls that make everything as rich and opulent as it can be. Views are stunning. Peace at it’s highest possibility. Staff are exquisite; in room dining amazing. Would stay here every stay!

Just returned from the Muir Hotel and WOW! This brand new waterfront property has the best location in Halifax with stunning harbor views. The Queen's Marque area feels incredibly safe and walkable with dozens of restaurants nearby, plus their own excellent Drift restaurant. Facilities are pristine and modern - everything is brand new. Staff was exceptional and you're walking distance to everything while still being peaceful and scenic. Will definitely be back! Traveled as a couple in August 2025

Love this hotel

Can’t beat this hotel! Love staying here. We were greeted as loyal guests and received a hand written note and chocolates to thank us for return visits. We love the spa like pool floor. We were slightly disappointed on this visit because there were several kids screaming and splashing in the pool. It would be great to have a sign indicating that it is a quiet zone to preserve the spa-like atmosphere.

It’s pricey, but in my opinion, it’s one of the best, if not the best, hotel in Halifax. Right on the waterfront boardwalk, numerous dining options within easy walking distance.
