Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront
"My teenager and I had a nice stay at Pinnacle Harbourfront in June. The highlights of this hotel are the staff (very friendly and helpful), the location (easily walkable and good access to the art gallery, seawall, and other key spots) and great view of the harbour, seaplanes landing, and mountains. The room was good: clean, comfy bed, appropriately maintained. Decor was dated, a bit damaged in some spots (flaking paint around the bathroom mirrors), and could use a refresh —the look and feel of the room doesn’t match the nightly price tag. Room amenities are basic low quality Keurig —meh. TV is weirdly small for the room and old technology considering how easy it is to get low coast tvs. My son loved the gym and said it was a highlight for him. The restaurant is expensive, but staff are lovely, attentive and professional. If you’re going to overpay for the breakfast, do the buffet, not the à la carte options. We tried dinner and enjoyed the food (seafood chowder, sourdough bread, salad) —it was good, but skip the desserts. I’m always disappointed when hotels don’t offer coffee, water, light refreshments in the lobby, especially if you have to wait to be seated for breakfast. But there are cafes nearby that are easily walkable. We enjoyed ourselves in Vancouver but probably would explore other places to stay next time because there‘s a value for dollar misalignment with Pinnacle. The staff and location are pretty excellent reasons to stay though."
