Begin your day sipping a favorite beverage while sitting on the spacious safety glass paneled deck or relaxing at the large 8-chaired dining table while you gaze through the wall of south-facing windows at the panoramic water view. The smell of salt air accompanies the sight of bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, ducks, sea otters, and other wildlife. The unfettered view of the stars at night accompanied only by the sound of sea birds will complete your day in this quiet retreat.
As you enter the home, your eye is drawn across the gleaming birch flooring to the stunning water view beyond. The open concept main floor is perfect for entertaining, with a welcoming sunken living room, connected dining area, and spacious kitchen with center island and loads of counter space and cupboards. The bright kitchen has easy access to the deck and barbecue area via the mud room. A new reverse osmosis water treatment system provides you with fresh, filtered water and ice. Two large bedrooms (one with bunk beds and a crib), a full bath, and a laundry room complete the main floor.
Walk up the winding stairs and you are met with a spacious, romantic loft style master suite boasting a terrace overlooking the water. Walk through a large open closet to the connected ensuite, which features a 6 foot long, extra deep soaking tub, a double vanity, and a huge glass shower.
A fun space for adults and children alike, the spacious finished basement sports carpet throughout. A children's bedroom equipped with twin bunk beds is located on this level, and the expansive connecting home theatre includes a large TV, theatre screen, and surround sound system, allowing you to enjoy the experience of a cinema in the comfort of home. Around the corner are two additional bedrooms (one with an ocean view), a bathroom with shower, and loads of closet space.
Outdoors, an outdoor kitchen equipped with a sink, bbq grill, and pizza oven awaits your culinary talents. This space (shared with the on-property cottage) boasts a bespoke fire pit with seating for up to 28 people. Please be mindful of the privacy and comfort of cottage guests when using this space. Also please consult the current regulations regarding fires; on account of the widespread forest fires, provincial fire bans are declared throughout the year.
Guests are welcome to request use of the outdoor swim spa and hot tub during their stay. Due to the excessive amount of time required to service these amenities combined with the high draw on electricity required to run the swim spa, they are offered at a cost of $75/per night for the entirety of your stay. If the swim spa gets high use during your stay, it will need treatment. If you are not willing to treat the water yourself (with host guidance), service can be arranged in advance at a cost of $80.
