Good value for money and beat expectations

The place was very clean, beds comfy and room spacious. The breakfast was very good for the money and plentiful! Oatmeal, waffles, coffee, yogurt, juice. The hotel/motel is situated near a main highway so you could hear traffic/ sirens but we did sleep.

Sketchy, creepy & scary. Room 310. 2 queen beds. 1 bed had huge stains on the top quilt, stains on the carpet throughout the room, no locking latch on the door, door frame pulled away from the wall, huge crawl space on the ceiling above the beds, people “hanging out/loitering” in front of the rooms. We did not stay nor did we get settled in. We went back to the front desk, checked out and did receive a full refund. Women, traveling in groups, pairs or solo …Do Not Stay here.

My experience at this property was very disappointing. Both the TV and refrigerator stopped working. The manager was unavailable during my visit, and the staff member on duty appeared unprepared and unsure of how to handle the situation. When I asked when the manager would return, she couldn’t provide a clear answer. On the day of checkout, I was sitting in my car when she approached me to ask if I was checking out. I told her I would be heading in shortly. When I went inside, she came out of a room where the cleaning staff was working and headed to the office, saying, “This is why I was asking if you were checking out.” I found that comment unnecessary and rude. Overall, the lack of professionalism and poor service made for a very unpleasant stay.

We reserved two different Quality Inns during our trip, and the Quality Inn Salinas room is significantly older, less clean and less quiet. For breakfast the dining room is very small ( only 3 tables for two) and few types of food are available.

Ok, but room for improvement

We stayed for 2 nights only. Overall, it was ok, but a few things could be improved. Bed was comfortable, but it had a plastic mattress protection that was a little noisy and annoying. Towels smelled clean and fresh, but looked off white/grey from use. Definitely could be replaced. Breakfast was very limited and scarce: one type of cereal, white bread only, pre packed pastries, mini waffles. No muffins, no bagels, no eggs, no sausage. Parking was limited. One day we arrived 11pm and there was no parking spaces. There is no street parking either. We ended up leaving the car at the Motel 8 across the street and were worried it could be towed overnight. Overall, our stay was fine, but those little things could be improved.

This was most affordable option in the area. It wasn't much. Check in was friendly but had to call to open breakfast room next morning. Black mold in shower. Holes in shower curtain complete with wonky shower faucet. At least sheets were clean & mattress was newer and vwry comfortable.

The place felt old and poorly maintained. Guests were drinking and blasting loud music from a car right outside their rooms, which were also double parked. The elevator reeked of beer and had empty bottles scattered inside, giving off an unclean and unsafe vibe. While the room itself was relatively clean on the surface, the furniture was ripped and worn down. The bathtub had visible stains, and there was noticeable mold in the shower area. On top of that, the air conditioning didn't work at all, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel felt more like a party hangout than a place to rest. It’s in desperate need of repairs, better maintenance, and stricter guest policies. I would not recommend staying here unless major changes are made.
