Hotel was within walking distance of downtown Monterey. Parking was easy, having the key be your last 4 digits of a phone number worked out okay. Only negative was that they never provided me with the wifi password at check in

Good value for money. This was a “cheaper” night on our road trip but had everything we needed. Nothing fancy, but rooms were clean! The day we arrived they were trialing a virtual front desk attendant which we found quite strange. Luckily they still had an actual human there to help with hiccups.

No front desk clerk, shower faucet away from wall, carpets were sticky, mattresses were collapsed. I loved the bathroom mirror. Coming from out of state I thought by picture of rooms they were super nice. Sorry disappointed

Overall this was a good option. The room was clean, AC worked well, location was convenient. You can tell, however, that it is an older building affected by the elements. The room had a persistent oceanic mold smell. Otherwise, it was lovely.

Staff, this hotel wants you to check in with a tower computer person. A regular desk person was checking someone else in but was to busy chit chatting him up to help us. Then when the strange computer person gave up on us she helped us. Really.....

I have stayed here several times. The only problem I had with my specific room was there was not a convenient electrical plug near the table and chair. I didn't have that problem in other rooms.

Enjoyed the stay

We stayed one night and unfortunately weren't able to use the pool, but it looked nice. The room was tidy and clean, there was cute presentations with the toilet paper and towels. Check-in felt futuristic since it was through a remote person, but went smoothly.

No actual person in the lobby for booking, only someone we couldn't understand on a Zoom type television screen whom we wonder where and in what country he was located. Creepy to us. The room was small and smelled strongly of urine in the carpet or furniture. Slats on windows instead of curtains, and this let in large amounts of light all night because the room stayed well lighted.
