Getting Around:

Walking is the best way to get around in the downtown New Orleans area and when you get tired, rideshare (Uber/Lift/KrewCar) and taxis are generally readily available. Or hop on one of our famous streetcars to see two major routes throughout the city. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars are Green and head away from downtown on St. Charles Ave, into the Garden District, where you will see the beautifully maintained mansions, passing Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, and the Audubon Zoo. Red Streetcars travel along Canal Blvd. from the Mississippi River out to City Park. The streetcars are cash only, unless you buy a pass.



The Hop on Hop off tour buses circulate around some of the more popular areas of downtown and offer pickup every 30 minutes.



The Algiers Ferry is a fun way to get across the river. It runs from Canal Street to Algiers throughout the day. Algiers is small and very walkable. Enjoy a quick bite to eat or just enjoy walking through the historic houses.



Bicycle rentals are also a great way to get around and can be rented from various locations throughout downtown. There are bike rental options like Blue Bike with multiple locations throughout the city and tour companies that have guided bike tours.

Highly communicative and informative host. The property was even more spacious than in the photos. Perfect location, just enough off the Quarter to avoid the noise and bustle, but close enough for an easy walk after hours! And always easy to get a taxi or Uber all around the city, not to mention convenient to the trolley for some lovely touring. Rent without fear!

The location was perfect. The condo was nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed. My one complaint would be the second bedroom was upstairs and it was on the same air unit, so stayed very warm compared to downstairs. Hard to sleep in that space.

Our host was amazing, she let us know all about the parade times and how to get tickets.

The condo was lovely, and we had everything we needed.She was always available to answer any questions we asked. They had someone to come out the next day to fix our TV. I highly recommend this condo. We were very comfortable and felt very safe at all times.

Wonderful and convenient get-away!

This Vrbo property looked amazing and exceeded our expectations! It is super spacious, with ample bedroom space for our group of 4. The living room is also lovely and was very comfortable to come back to after so much exploring of NOLA. The French Quarter was a very short walk and we were able to easily get to so many different sights and restaurants. Finally, Barbara at VacayNOLA was amazing to work with and made our check-in as smooth as could be. She also gave us great recommendations and has a wealth of knowledge about where to go on your trip. We highly recommend this property for a NOLA get-away trip! Many thanks!!

Wonderful and Walkable in NOLA!

We just came back from a long weekend and much needed get away with some friends. Our rental did not disappoint. We were located close by to literally everything. The apartment was clean, stocked with everything we needed and was a lovely place to come in and crash after walking and enjoying the city all day. The communication for the owner was top notch and personal!

2024 NOLA New Years Celebration

I will begin with a special thank you to Barbra who was by far the best, her communication skills made me feel like I'd known her for years. She was friendly, professional and informative. We reserved a two bedroom/two bath condo for two couples that did not disappoint. The space was perfect, we had plenty of room to hang out in the open living space and play games at the dining table, the balcony was a nice touch, we especially enjoyed being able to see the New Years fireworks. The kitchen was well stocked, the washer and dryer were a great touch.Location, location location... this place is walking distance from all the excitement of Canal and Bourbon Streets but far enough not hear the partying while in the condo. We went to the Saints and Raider Football game (Go Raiders!!) and were able to take a short walk to the stadium. We walked everywhere and enjoyed delicious food, listened to wonderful live music on the street and in some of the restaurants. We will definitely stay here whenever we visit NOLA.We'd like to take a moment to express our deepest sympathy to the people that lost their lives as they celebrated the new year. Our hearts go out to the entire community of New Orleans. Barbara took time to personally call and make sure that we were safe which further showed how wonderful of a person she is.God bless us all.

Love Front Page News

Barbara, the property manager, was amazing during this trip. We had originally booked "Politics" but Barbara realized the floors were being refinished in that unit and it might not be ready for our stay, so she coordinated with us via phone and had us moved to "Front Page News" This unit was an upgrade with a balcony overseeing Camp Street, for no additional cost! Throughout or stay Barbara checked in with us and gave us the rundown of the apartment and things to do locally. She also checked in when the terrorist event happened on New Years morning. She went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. Really appreciated the whole process and Barbara going the extra mile to make our stay great!
