Location was perfect. Room wasn't anything special

Location was absolutely ideal for us. We loved being able to leave the chaos of the city but still have easy access, it was about 5 min walk to Wall Street subway stations. Walking distance to several piers was a bonus we weren't expecting. As with all hotels in New York, beware that the room is SMALL. You definitely want to be comfortable with someone if sharing a room with them as you will have no privacy and you will be sharing every bit of the space. If you have more than one big suitcase between you plus cabin luggage you will struggle. I paid for a premium / high rise view but we were looking directly into an office building opposite us so I wouldn't pay extra for that next time. The lifts can be slow on the weekends as the general public can access the rooftop bar (if you're used to London rooftop bars don't expect the same here, it's a very small space and limited seating options). They do give you a credit for the rooftop as part of your destination fee, but beware you may not be able to use it. We tried and were told they couldn't do this so our credit just went to waste and we ended up paying full for our drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful when we had queries. They also were able to hold our bags free of charge when we had time to kill before our flights. Overall a decent stay, would stay here again purely based on the location and cleanliness of the hotel.

Mixed thoughts on our stay

Clean room - a bit smaller than we typically experience, but this could be due to the location. We paid for our stay in advance and upon arrival had to pay a $35 additional convenience fee (not sure why this wasn’t part of the price online) which included 2 bottles of spring water. There was no declining and it felt a bit dishonest. Rooftop bar was nice and location was fantastic being able to walk to places we wanted to go.
