Just the facts here, no opinions.
1. Screwed up reservations and gave our suite that I confirmed just prior was given away.
2. You have to make your own bed when ready.
3. The room was run down and not at all inviting.
3. An old portable air conditioner on wheels was loud and the on off button broken
4. Wall plugs so old that your charging cord adapter would just fall out.
5. Economy rooms so tight that two people could not comfortably move about the room to dress.
6. Toilet was a low flow, which is fine but you had to flush twice most times.
7. Shower towels were very small.
8. Room safe did not work.

SoHo cramped quarters
Location:the location was perfect for us - near east river, greenwich villiage, transportation, galleries, shopping etc
upon arrival the owner let me know that the room is shared - 2 rooms share a bath and kitchen. For whatever reason....I was not aware of this. I would not have reserved this accommodation for my daughter and myself. Never knowing who would show up - a man, a woman, who knows what....in NYC - not good.
the owner never did me the kindness of giving me a heads up that someone would be taking the room so I never knew what to expect. the way I would get a heads up is that my card/key to the room would have to be re-programmed every time someone new arrived. One night the fire alarm went off and I had no idea there was anyone in the room which was locked. I'm running around trying to find the smoke until finally I knocked on the door and a strange voice said yes.
2 beds - no chair, not dresser, no room to put a suit case or anything we owned - we had to use the entrance way.
No air conditioning so we had to run a floor air cooler - which was loud
the tv was mounted high up on a wall and got minimal channels - mainly CNN
the clicker didn't work so who knows what channels there were.
I wanted a reciept at check out!
and it wasnt any cheaper than other places.
no bugs or what not but there was no lock on the window with a fire escape - no deadbolt on the room door -
maybe the other single rooms were nice - I have no idea. room 401a and b were terrible
no place in the kitchen to sit - no where to eat... why have a kitchen?? the only place to sit was on the twin bed
