Checked into room Smelled like smoke. Hotel moved us to another room which was suitable. On the last day we were awakened to banging above us. I made the hotel aware of it three separate times but the matter was not resolved so we checked out early. No one ever responded to my concerns nor did they try to contact us about it. It was a large room and with the windows closed very quiet. I was disappointed it did not have a bathtub.

From the moment my wife and I checked in, the excitement of staying at the hotel was turned into a negative experience. The front desk representative was rude. After getting our room keys we went up to them room to discover it was really run down and dirty. It is definitely not how it was shown in the pictures. Throughout the stay we experienced our room not getting serviced even though i had made a call down prior to stepping out to ask if they can come and do it before the evening. We came back to the room and it wasn't done and there response was "i don't know why it wasn't done" and they had sent someone at 10 pm to do it. In another instance we requested towels only to find some were dirty and stained. The carpet was sticky and ripped. The A/C does not work properly it blows out warm air. overall not a good experience at all.

Rooms are dated and very small. No coffee maker which is standard in rooms. The pillows were so flat and hard we went and bought new ones just for our stay. I suppose for the cheap price in NYC it is standard. We were expecting more based on the photos online.
