This property was clean, had friendly staff, and we felt safe. Our room was much roomier than expected. We were in close walking distance to Midtown sites and Times Square. Enjoyed our trip to NYC, and staying at the Hyatt Grand Central was part of that.

The hotel is badly managed. We experienced neglectful housekeeping, rooms in need of renovating, lack of amenities. If a hotel doesn't offer room service there should at least be a coffeemaker in the room. We were booked for three nights and happy to leave.

The air conditioning wasn’t working as well as expected had to get a fan sent to the room. However a technician came to room, and that helped for about two hours! It was awful. We love staying at the Hyatt, but will be looking elsewhere. So disappointed!

I was given an extremely poor room on arrival. It was claustrophobic, very small, dark and next to the cleaning storage so there was a lot of noise early in the morning. I had to ask to change rooms which they accommodated however it was still a hassle to change.

Everything was great, except for our experience when we first arrived. At the front desk, a woman named Claudia was very rude. She acted like she didn’t care and told us that our room wouldn’t be ready until 4 p.m.maybe not — and she couldn’t say when it might be ready. We had just arrived from Chicago, so I asked if we could at least leave our luggage somewhere while we explored the city, but she said she didn’t know. Fortunately, another staff member stepped in and was much more helpful. Overall, everything else was good, but I’d recommend staying away from Claudia
