Staff lacks professionalism - rooms were clean

The people at the front desk were disorganized and did not exude the expertise one might normally see from an hospitality professional. They struggled to accommodate another guest who was having difficulty and when I asked for a toothpaste (something most hotels have on hand should their guests require) I was told that toothpaste is only available at 8AM. The room was fine, it was clean and felt efficient, however it did feel closer to the sterile environment that a hospital might offer and was less homelike than what one might expect from a hotel.

The hotel over all was ok, great location close to Times Square. They have bedbugs, which we found our last nights stay and the manager just moved our room. That part was handled poorly
