I had reserved a suite with a King size bed and I ended up getting a room with two queen beds. When I called reception to let them know what I had reserved the staff was very rude

There was no bedding or blankets for the sofa pull out bed. When we asked for bedding and blankets we were told "we ran out". There was no apology. When we complained to manager in morning, the manager gave us the "option" of canceling our stay and going to different facility. There was no apology. The attitude of management was rude and aggressive. We asked to speak to the general manager but he was not available. We were told he will contact us but there was no contact from the general manager for our week long stay despite asking for him repeatedly. Our kids had to sleep without bedding or blankets which is unacceptable. We were traveling with family and had booked 4 rooms. All 4 rooms were on different parts of property with 3 if them being on different floors. We were traveling with young children which made it very challenging. We were told nothing can be done for us because we booked through expedia which did not make sense as the reservation was made for all 4 rooms at the same time as part of single booking Room service was not available to clean the rooms. Again the reason given was "we dont have enough staff ". The breafast was limited with long lines.

Thermostat in room was broken. They said they were sold out and couldn’t move us. No heat for entire stay. Room was musty and smelled bad. Walking around property, so many things duct taped and covered in mold (we took a photo of the mold).

Checked in at 6:00 2 hours after the reserved check in time. Was told that the rooms not ready without any sympathy from the receptionist. I was told they’d call us, so we waited four hours only for no call back. Had to call them to be told the room was ready. I understand it might’ve been busy today but getting this kind of service was unacceptable.

Very limited staff for breakfast. They should have idea how crowded it will be at the time of breakfast so they should provide more station for omlete. Also that 1 slow toaster to toast all those waffles, baget, toast , muffins and all made it very crowded. They should work on managing how to take care of crowd. Also the lady I believe manager, was super ride all that time with me, as if I am staying for free. She was rude while asking for cups on the front counter, while entering for breakfast and rude by giving instructions on where to go. I felt very uncomfortable during my stay. Going on vacation and booking with Hilton was always a good experience in past. But after staying in palm desert I have to think twice even though I am a Hilton reward member. The rooms were very dirty also. Overall it was not a pleasant experience.

A mediocre Embassy Suites - somewhat run down, outdated furniture and finishes. The pool was cold, hot tub was tepid at best, towels the size of hand towels and worn, room worn and needing updating. Breakfast was lower quality - and understaffed (omelet bar).

Staff and employees were all pretty nice and helpful, the lobby is actually pretty decent, and you can’t beat the location. Unfortunately, the quality of the room will prevent me from staying here again. Almost everything in the room was old and warn and either needed to be replaced, repaired, or some sort of attention. I have to only imagine Hilton knows people will stay here because of the location but has decided to not invest in the property or at least the rooms. I know this isn’t a 5-star hotel but even at this price you’d expect more from a roadside motel off a lone dusty highway.
