When we got to our room it was heavily scented and there was an undertone of mustyness. The next morning we could really smell the mould, we had gone to one of the presentations with an exotic travel agent and told them about the mould in the room. All they said was “oh that’s not good”. We had lunch then went to the front desk to tell them about the mould. Someone had maintenance out to change the filter of the AC. The problem with this is, it wasn’t the filter that was the problem even though it was disgusting, there was actual black looking mould in the AC unit. So I went back to the front desk to show them the video I took of the mould in the unit. He said they would have someone come with a machine to take the smell out. No one arrived. I went back to the front desk again to request a room change. The fella at the desk was very helpful, he put the request in and when we got back the following night after an excursion we were supposed to have another room. He said they gave the room away because of an emergency. So I asked for another request to be put in. He said to come back the following morning. So after 3 nights in mould which was making me physically ill, I went again to the front desk at 8am, they put in another request for a room change and told us to check out at 12 then come back at 3 for the new room.We had a massage booked @3 so came after. They had given the room away again. They finally upgraded us but even that room had a mild mould smell. There is more…
