Portland is all about supporting the local economy and artisans, and our custom furnishings and lighting were sourced within blocks of the building; weâre happy to hook you up with our providers. Also enjoy curated artwork from local painters and photographersâ these and other works are available for purchase at a special discount through us. If you canât fit a custom couch or loveseat or lighting fixture with you on the journey home, order a print to remind you of your stay!
The exterior of the building promises to be unlike any of the giant boxes popping up throughout the city: rusted metal siding will blend with painted stucco panels and black, burned Japanese Shou Sugi Bon wood to create a signature look that will be visible to anyone traveling Hawthorne Boulevard. The building sits between the vibrant commercial sector of Hawthorne and leafy side streets full of residential architectural masterpieces from the past 120 years.
Interiors have been designed to create a sleek, soothing European feel, and incorporate the highest-grade surfaces and finishes including mini-split heating and cooling, stainless appliances (including dishwashers), in-unit washer/dryers, 9-ft ceilings, huge windows, gorgeous cabinetry with glittering quartz countertops, and more.

The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as âFoodie Row,â the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance to a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!) Make new friends over some vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with some wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portlandâs favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna - all within a 1.5 mile stretch. Portland isn't just for foodies. Thereâs vibrant indie spirit in Hawthorne, with lots of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore here in hipster heaven. Or, catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isnât your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where youâll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.
Getting Around:
đ¶ Walking â This neighborhood sits between the Division and Hawthorne corridors, two of Portland's best streets for dining and shopping â both within easy walking distance.
đ Bus â TriMet Route 2 (Division) and Route 75 (Cesar Chavez) provide frequent service to downtown (~15 min).

âïž Airport â PDX is about 16 minutes by car or a quick MAX + bus connection.

Apartment just as described â a perfect home base for exploring Portland. We couldnât have been happier, and the managers were very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!
The apartment is nestled in the Hawthorne neighborhood, 10 minutes or less to most things in Portland. The unit is clean, well furnished and enough for a short city break like the one our family and I took this week. The only downside was that right on the other side of the wall is a skate park (Commonwealth Skateboarding) which played rather loud music (on one night it was a full on 4 band death metal line up), which was a little irritating, especially when putting our 7 year old to bed.
