I have been staying at the Mission Inn and using the spa facilities regularly since the hotel was renovated. I will no longer be returning to the hotel to stay. The service and food have become dreadful. On check in around 9:30 pm we were given our keys to our room, but once we got there, they did not work. Returned to desk and were given a new set which also did not work. Was assigned a different room which housekeeping had to check first. We finally got in a room at 1100 that night that smelt stale. Luggage took a while to get there because there was no bellhop now. Not fun for my tired 6 yr old. Breakfast in bed as a treat was ok other than 2 orders of very burnt hash browns. We pushed the breakfast cart out of the room just as housekeeping was by our room. I asked her for service and to leave 4 washcloths in our room. Upon returning to our room we found the breakfast cart still there (was not picked up till next morning) beds unmade and one single washcloth in our room. When I called I was told they did not have any clean but they could send me towels?? but of course, that didn't happen. Dinner in the Mission Inn restaurant resulted in an order of lamb I asked to be cooked medium being served raw. I would like to say it was rare but it wasn't even that. I sent it back and it came back medium rare. I was done by then and just ate it that way. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of acknowledgement of my issues and lack of customer service or efforts for recovery.
