The clerk we checked in was up beat full of information and helpful. Rooms were clean And breakfast has multiple options . Totally worth the stay , great location to see multiple places in San Diego!

Shocked by the price of parking or that we even had to pay for parking! Can't eat sausage and there was no other meats in those 12 days. Pool was freezing and thought there was a hot tub. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very close to Old Town and Old Town hop on off trolly. Our room was clean. It is an older property but a good place to stay. Breakfast was good with multiple items to choose from.

Wanted to cancel my reservation. Hotel said because I had booked the hotel through Expedia I had to cancel through Expedia. The hotel said if Expedia was okay with the cancellation they would be too. I called Expedia and they said if the hotel was okay with the cancellation they were okay with it too. Expedia tried to get the hotel on the phone to confirm, but no one would answer the phone at the hotel according to the Expedia customer representative (hard to believe). Additionally, despite Expedia’s website stating in all capital letters that my hotel reservation included all TAXES AND FEES the hotel tried to charge me an additional $20 for parking. I personally am sick and tired of all these companies “unbundling” all their prices and fees so consumers are always getting surprised by “additional fees”. It used to be the hotel gave you a room rate and along with taxes that included everything (use of the pool, chairs, WiFi, parking, etc.) Now when you book a room you have to ask does the room rate include WiFi, the pool, the gym, parking, etc. One other thing about this hotel it is DIRECTLY across the street from the Interstate 5 freeway. Interestingly though I do not recall seeing a single photo of the freeway in the 31 photos of the hotel on Expedia. Let me just say the noise from the freeway is VERY LOUD!
