The property is charming. The restaurant and rooftop bar are both very nice, and the burgers are amazing. The elevator adds to the overall charm of the hotel but after awhile it becomes a bit inconvenient. Most rooms seem to be generally quite small. There's just enough room for the bed. Lastly, I find $65 for valet parking extremely expensive. I understand that cities typically charge higher prices due to limited space but it just feels like too much. Overall, however, the hotel was in a good location to be near the bars and nightlife, and it did the job for a couple nights a reasonable nightly rate.

Small Room with little view

The front desk agent is nice. My room was corner units with little view and a bit to small and limited storage space. The interior design is nice and it's look new. The bottle of water is $13 y'all.

Great Location and Friendly Staff

Palihotel has a stylish vibe and is in a great location, Petco Park was just a short walk away, which made getting around super convenient. The staff was definitely a highlight, Eric at the front desk was very helpful, and the valet gentleman was more than happy to answer a few of my concerns. That said, there were a few minor issues, the air conditioner wasn’t cold enough, there was only one little trash can in the restroom, and the sheets were a bit too thick for my liking. With a few small improvements, this could be a top-notch stay.

This is a pretty old building with supposedly an elevator that is over a century old with slide gates. The rooms are really tiny but well updated. Location is great and everything is pretty walkable to Gas Lamp quarter. My stay was interrupted by a fire alarm at 3 am that took the hotel about 45 minutes to get under control and for us to get back in the building. Even after, on my floor, the fire alarm kept ringing in the room next door. There was no acknowledgment of the hardship from the staff.

Old school charm with new school service.

The hotel was gorgeous and had a lot of charm and character. There was a bit of noise from the neighboring clubs/bars but other than that, everything was fantastic. I love the old school charm and style from the elevators to the restaurant. The food was amazing and service was wonderful. Everything was amazing!
