I stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and well maintained. The building itself is run down and dirty stucco walls. I had one towel so I called the front desk. I received a hand towelâŠunacceptable. Next day I requested 2 coffee kcups and received 1. It was pretty frustrating as a senior having to contact the front desk for minor everyday items that SHOULD already be in the room.
Sandwiched between people making noise all night long and smoking riverleaf. Management didnt do anything about it. Train comes by every 15 min. Thin wall. Gaps in door frame. Floor made my feet black. I moved bed frame to locate smell. Filthy behind it. Stairwells and halls filthy and crumbling. Odd neighbors. Some idiot warmed up their 50s car every morning at 6am. Maids start early and cart makes lots of noise. I think almost every other hotel on the street would be an upgrade.
Do not stay at this hotel. Not even the hot tub was working. It was very dirty. Two homeless people were trying to steal the microwave on the second floor vending area. Hotel accepts vouchers from the homeless to stay at hotel. The room had an air mattress đ«!The hotel website is very disingenuous!!!
The pictures on the site donât match, this place was horrible, old dirty. The room was horrible, old worn night stands, bathroom was disgustingly old. I will never stay here again unless they remodel the entire place. The only thing I could say is that the front staff were nice.
love riverleaf! if youâre local to SD and looking for somewhere to escape and host a group this is the place! Usually a pretty fair price for the area, generally clean, no security deposit, takes cash, and rooms are easily accessible! Highly recommended!
Customer service was great. We arrived early and they were able to get us in within a few hours. The location is good, safe and quiet. The rooms are old. Few spider webs and unknown stains noticed on walls, headboard, phone and a high touch areas. Would STILL return for location and Customer Service. My Dog felt welcomed
I arrived late to check in and the front desk person argued with me about a particular detail. The parking area had a few people sitting in their cars, one smoking weed, and I didnât feel safe at all. When I got to my room, it smelled like mold, the laminate was peeling off the furniture and particular board was exposed, there was no top blanket, just a thin sheet and small blanket folded at the foot of the bed. There were random hairs in the bed and when I pulled up the thin blanket, something flew off of it. The walls were so thin you could hear everything in the next room. I messaged Hotels.com and they contacted the front desk to say I complained and she called me to ask why I didnât tell her first and I could talk to the manager in the morning. She said the best she could do would be to send clean linens, which she didnât. Thankfully the morning staff cancelled my remaining reservation and refunded my money.
