Book a hotel near Spirit of Newfoundland, Downtown St. John's

"Not sure what qualifies as "excellent". Frankly I don't need to spend an extra $200 a night to have swan shaped towels. In my 5 city multi week trip this was my favorite hotel more so then the more expensive ones. Far and away (unintentional pun) the best sleep with the comfiest bed compared to the others. Short distance to downtown back and forth at around $16.50 each way. When I compared with others on Expedia it was almost 1/2 the price of the downtown chains. So our saving more than covered Uber and went towards activities. "

"Great hotel. Clean, roomy , comfortable . Good location close to mall and 2 restaurants attached . Was able to store luggage there after check out for a few hours. Would return. "

"Cheaper option to stay in downtown St. John’s. Very old building, very small rooms but overall was taken care of and clean. Very close to restaurants and nightlife. Window shaker AC worked well. "

"I had breakfast included at the Sparo which was just outside this world. Very friendly staff. Great location too. My room was located next to the fitness centre on the ground floor - which can be an issue if you like to sleep in (as it gets noisy in the am), but I loved it. I think it would be great if the room had a floor length mirror! As I was in town for a business meeting, getting ready without one was a bit tricky at times. But overall, loved my stay here and would happily stay here again. "
