The hotel was huge. I like the playroom, and the heated pool. The hotel is close to the mall and restaurants. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The room structure is kinda old but ok.

This has to be the loudest room I have ever stayed in. The city noises were very loud and a concert several blocks down the road sounded like it was next door and we needed to turn up the TV just to hear it. Also, although there are several banks of elevators and many express to upper floors, on approximately two out of a bank of six elevators for our floor were working making it next to impossible to get on, especially during high traffic times. I will not stay here again.

Pros: The hotel staff were very nice and helpful.
Location: The location is great. Near many restaurants and activities.
Very large hotel with an extremely busy lobby. The day/evening we were at the Chelsea there were multiple large groups embarking and disembarking from motor coaches. As a result the noise level made it difficult to speak to the desk personnel. The bell men were very nice and helpful as possible given the busyness, however, no one offered to assist us with our luggage. The deck clerks were pleasant and helpful as well. We reserved a room with a queen bed and supposedly were upgraded to a king suite with a kitchen (which we didn't need/want). The room was ample in size, however, it was out-dated and in need of updating and general maintenance - baseboards in bathroom (which was big enough for only 1 person) were chipped or missing; bathroom cabinet was scarred with major dents and dings; couch was leaning to one side; the seat at the end of the bed was stained and generally dirty, and the room was generally dingy looking due to the decor. However, worst of all was the king sized bed. The bed sagged so badly in the middle that we rolled together (we are not hefty people) and had a very hard time getting out of the bed. The bed was made so good that the sag wasn't noticeable until we retired for the night. Needless to say we didn't sleep well. Unless the hotel begins making some updates, we would not consider this location again.

Booked 2 rooms - One through travelocity and one through the Chelsea Toronto website. Travelocity had the better price, and even though the Chelsea said best price guarantee, they did not match it. Lobby was awesome, location was awesome. Room was terrible. Dirty, uncomfortable. I paid for a parking pass from The Chelsea and they still charged me parking and added to my bill. Would never stay again.

central hotel in Toronto close to many attractions

Pros: central location
Cons: sound insulation to street noise. Our room was on the 5th floor and the noise from Gerrard St was constant.
Location: Art Gallery of Ontario, City Hall, Chinatown, Parliament building, Royal Ontario Museum and many more attractions are in walking distance,
We spend the long weekend in Toronto for a family reunion and this hotel fit our budget and location. We took advantage of the fitness center and the deck. Something to not miss.

It was OK

Pros: My children like the water slide in the pool.
Cons: The cleanliness of the room & bathroom and clearer information regarding parking and prices for parking.
Location: The location was ok, but I think other hotels would have been better located for what we wanted to do. We choose this hotel because of the pool/slide.
The room was really small for 2 double beds. We stayed here with our 2 children. The bathroom could have been cleaner and we had to keep the door cracked when showering because there was no fan just a vent in the wall to let the hot air escape. I had a difficult time helping my children in the bathroom when needed because it was tiny and the door when open almost took up the whole bathroom. The wall paper in the room was coming off the wall in certain spots and we had a difficult time controlling the temperature in the room. My kids liked the water slide, but were disappointed in the Teen Club Lounge. They are not teens, but kids could go in when accompanied by an adult. There was an activity area for smaller children that could have been fun if my children were the right age. Spots on the Chelsea website state parking is included, but pay close attention because that is only for certain packages which don't seem to be available if you book through another site like Travelocity. Had I known the price did not include parking, other hotel options would have been more appealling and I could have received a comparable price for possibly a nicer hotel. Overall, I would not stay there again.

The hotel is located downtown and is walking distance to varoius places. The Hotel eas clean but a bit dated. My room was very hot and adjusting the thermostats did nothing to cool the room down.

Great hotel in the middle of everything.

Had a wonderful stay at the Chelsea Hotel. Clean, comfortable and the staff were excellent. My only complaint was that there wifi was terrible. Other than that I had a great stay. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic amenities!!

This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! It started with a great price knowing it was in the heart of downtown Toronto and had many amenities. When we arrived the staff was spectacular. From the front desk to housekeeping to concierge and restaurants. Such friendly and professional staff and you could tell they loved their jobs. We don't have children but we were so impressed with the children's amenities. They get to check in at children's check in and receive a prize, they had activities for children like face painting, popcorn, movies. I was just amazed! The pool, hot tub and fitness center for adults was on the 27th floor and the view was spectacular!! This will be our hotel for every Toronto visit in the future. Thank you!!!
