Don't park here

If you're showing up in the evening and leaving by morning, park across the street. If I had known that I would be paying a quarter of the price (I literally parked for 7 hours), I would have just left and moved my car. The room was nice enough, but nothing special. Location was okay, but there are other hotels that are equally as nice if not nicer for comparable money.

This hotel is central to Union station, the ACC, Rogers Centre and the Sony Centre

Pros: Quiet, central location
Cons: Poor breakfast, air conditioning too cold in public areas
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but would advise people not to have breakfast there. We had the buffet which was adequate, although overpriced. The air conditioning was so cold that hot food was cold by the time we returned to our seats.

I felt this was a quality hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: no free parking, no free breakfast
Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. The kids appreciated the free WiFi. I would have liked a fridge we could use in the room. The mini bar items were too expensive. The location was excellent.

it doesn't deserve your money

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
We were visiting Toronto last week and stayed 2 nights in this downtown hotel. Its location is good and near down area. However, we were very disappointed by services in this hotel. The hotel's setting was very outdated. The cleanness is acceptable, but floor carpet is worn and dirty. Actually we found 2 bed bugs in the night. The most funny thing is that the hotel uses regular shopping carts (normally seen in grocery store) for customerss to carry their luggage. It was very hard for me to put my large luggage into that cart. No free breakfast, no free wi-fi, the internet was very slow. no free parking (25 dolloar per night), no refrigerator. Actually there is one in the room, however, it was full of beverage and snack for sale. They call it "minibar". A small bottle of spring water is $5.5. It makes you feel like you pay money for a room, and they put a vending machine in it. The Indoor pool is not for little kids because it has no shallow area. All are 1.5m deep. After one night, we had to decide to leave.

Nice hotel and good location

Pros: The location.
Location: Good restaurants around and you can take the hop on hop off bus for tourism close by.
Very good hotel, very clean and good place to stay. The location was perfect for tourism, everything was near by. I would stay again in that hotel.

The hotel lobby and first floor is lovely, including the fancy elevator that requires a room key to push a floor level, but the moment we stepped off the elevator after checking, we were instantly disappointed. I must admit the disappointment remained, even though we stepped off the elevator, heading to our room, several times a day. The decor was supremely outdated and there was an air of staleness that made my stomach a bit queasy every time. We requested a smoke free room and even signed a contract stating, we'd pay a fee, should there be smoking in the room, but our first room reeked of cigarette smoke. The staff put us in another room, which had its own air of staleness and a running toilet (that was eventually fixed), and the bed had to be the hardest we've ever slept on (and I once had a futon!). Our backs and necks hurt daily, and we are excited to sleep on a comfortable bed at home again! Novotel has a brilliant photographer, because the images certainly don't hunt to how old, dingy, and outdated the place is, with the exception of the lobby, which smelled great (putting scents in each room would go a long way). A staff member told me that they'd begin updating the rooms in 2016, so maybe they'll follow through. This hotel was definitely a disappointment, but it sufficed for having a place to sleep, shower, and store our items.
