I honestly don't know how to rate this hotel. Front staff Raffael deserves a raise. I absolutely love his professionalism, he was super well mannered, friendly greeting, super polite, and knew everything inside out. I would hire him for my business in a heartbeat. As for the room, I noticed a weird smell, tub wasn't cleaned (there was some dirt), I found dead bugs (multiple) in random spots, the chair had some liquid stains (you can already imagine), and I saw a bug underneath the bedsheets too. I didn't want to address any issues, since I was in Victoria for an event to celebrate my fiancee's engagement. Raffael was generous to upgrade our room from Queen to King. So I didn't want to sound ungrateful by pointing out all these issues. I spent about an hour cleaning up sanitizing the place (luckily I brought disinfectants) and left the window opened. Overall, it was quite uncomfortable, I didn't want to touch anything including sleeping on the bed was bothering us even after the sanitation. The smell persisted even after leaving the windows opened for 2hours even though outside was at 6degrees Celsius. 10 stars out of 5 for Raffael. 2 stars out of 5 for cleanliness. I'm sorry.

I stayed for 8 nights at The Vic Hotel. The staff at this hotel are extremely attentive & friendly. The front desk people are always there to help. Fathimah always greeted me with a smile and asked how my day went. The rooms are very clean, and nicely decorated - set up very well with everything that you need - TV, coffee station, mini fridge, a wonderful shower, & lighted mirror above the sink. There's even a Floyds Diner attached to the lobby for breakfast, and Heckler's pub is right downstairs for evening food & entertainment. I woud definitely recommend this hotel.
