Find a cheap Hotel in Walnut Grove

"The room was very uncomfortable, the bedding was not clean, and I slept until I had red rashes on my neck and body. The towel cannot be cleaned thoroughly, and hair is still hooked on it. The room service knocked on the door at 10:30 in the morning and came in, disturbing our rest. That's terrifying. "

"We booked this hotel 45 minutes out of our way because it had a pool for the kids. After checking in we were told the pool was closed for maintenance but the hot tub was open. And the pool would be open by first thing the next day- crappy but ok, kids can go in the hot tub and at least we have the morning. (I couldn’t go in the hot tub as I’m pregnant) well come morning both the pool and hot tub were closed with no plan of being reopened. Such a disappointment for this kids and a waste of money for us. We would have stayed somewhere else that actually had working amenities. The front desk staff didnt seem to care either."

"I arrived at the hotel at 8pm on a Saturday evening the day before the Sun Run (i.e. a VERY busy weekend in Vancouver) and the room was DREADFUL. The smoke alarm was hanging by wires from the wall and the window leading out to the roof-top terrace had no lock. I went out on the terrace and was able to easily slide the window open and enter the room. I raised my concerns with the receptionist and received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She said "It's not my fault", "I can't do anything about that", and when I said that I would be in the room with my 4 year old and 7 year old daughter and just wanted them to be safe, her response was "Go and find another hotel then". At 8pm on the Saturday night before the Sun Run. I asked to speak to the manager and was told there is no manager on duty until Monday. What kind of hotel does not have a manager for Saturday night when it is fully booked? Eventually I found a security guard and had him lock the access door to the rooftop terrace and I found a window rod to jam into the window space so that it could not be opened from outside. This hotel is a shambles and the receptionist is the most unhelpful, rude person I have ever dealt with in any sort of customer service interaction. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again and recommend anyone else concerned about their child's safety do the same."
