Avoid

Cobwebs, windows dirty, showerhead caked with limescale. No bedside lamps, no hand towel in bathroom, no bath mat. Front door closed after midnight and no instructions given on check in about how to get in. Only one flat pillow each, no one to ask for more. Bottle of water each on arrival is a nice gesture, but doesn't make up for all the other areas where it falls down. Hangers in wardrobe were sticky!

Windows Broken no hangers Paint on curtains I would like a refund BUT my debit card is no longer in use so I need to be refunded to an alternate card

The staff are lovely , the room was a decent size for a single room , I was there for 5 days but they only cleaned my room once and changed my sheets once while it was a heat wave , other then that no issue . I would recommend the place if you want somewhere cheap . There is a curry house downstairs and a Tesco express and a pub that serves food around the corner

The room was a good size but that's where the positive ends. The bathroom was filthy, didn't look like the shower had ever been cleaned, limescale all over the glass and shower hose. Room was generally grubby and the whole building smells of the Indian takeaway downstairs. No kettle in the room and the milk was out of date. Bed sheets were scratchy. The property is advertised as having parking (which was a major selling point for me) but don't be fooled, there are 3 spaces and they are all taken by staff. Would never stay here again.

Good value for the price - definitely “no frills” but was clean, the bed was fairly comfortable and the water nice and hot. I would imagine it is cold in winter so will bring a pair of slippers next time. Ten minute walk into town where there are many shops and a cinema.

Awful and Dirty

Possibly the dirtiest "hotel" room ever experienced. Things broken or falling apart including the bath, pedal bin, chest of drawers, bathroom door and room door. Wind tunnel in the hallway and a gap under our room door (which was also loose in the frame) so it slammed back and forth all night. Walls paper thin or other room doors must have had gaps too. Could hear snoring from two different other rooms throughout the night. Looked like it had been years since parts of the room had been cleaned including all corners, skirting boards, the shower head, beside the furniture, etc. Will be seeking a refund. Unacceptable level of filth in the room for a supposedly 3 star hotel charging what they are.

Booked because it was cheapest and closest to desired area but the room and leading up to it was lacking a good clean, a hoover over the carpet would have made a real difference, and some dusting on the lead up to the room, particularly the light fittings! The coffee and tea facilities in the room weren’t used as it all looked old and the caddy it was kept in looked dusty. The shower door handle was broken. The room was so warm when we arrived, we had to open all the windows to get a breeze through and then we had to listen to some kind of aircon from the downstairs restaurant late at night and then in the morning pigeons kept landing around the window’s, maybe a little aircon to make it more pleasant would be nice.

Friendly staff hotel is above a nice Indian restaurant. so dont go to Mc Donalds before you arrive , the staff were very friendly . I would defo book again , and not got to mc Donalds this time

Pre-booked this hotel and paid upfront. Arrived at hotel to check in, were told they had no rooms for us. Apparently they had a customer who decided they wanted to stay longer, so they gave them our room, despite us having paid and reserved the room. Fortunately, Travelodge was down the road and we booked in there for 2 nights.

Appalling experience

I regret to say that my recent stay did not meet expectations. The cleanliness of the room, especially the bed and mattress which was sloping to one side, was lacking, which made for an uncomfortable experience. Broken towel rails and dilapidated bath separators could have been looked into. Additionally, there was considerable noise from both neighbours rs and ongoing refurbishment work, with loud drilling continuing well past 10:45 PM. I even felt the need to document the noise as evidence including photo of refurbishment materials kept lying on the hallway floor. The condition of the room and bathroom also left much to be desired, with details such as the absence of milk for tea and sugar stored loosely in an open bowl standing out. Unfortunately, these issues led me to check out earlier than planned. I have yet to receive a refund and have had significant difficulty connecting with customer service. Furthermore, one individual on-site, whom I believe to be the owner, displayed an unprofessional attitude and was seen double-parking, blocking guest parking spaces. The only positive experience was the boys at the hotel offering to help whenever asked although many of these matters should have been dealt before guests’ arrival. I hope these concerns will be addressed to enhance future guest experiences

Subpar place to stay. Not a typical OYO experience. Nothing but rave reviews for four other OYO hotels I've styed at in the past. I think there is a conflict of interest story at this particular location. Stayed in Room #1. 3 nights, 1st week of April 2025. Negatives: The Sheets were dirty, like old rags actually. I didn't notice as the top cover was fair until I opened to sleep, inhaled that almost made me puke. Slept on top with the bath towel as a cover. Sheets were replaced the next morning with some hesitation actually! The shower stall had visible hair on the floor, it was not cleaned. The toilet seat was visibly dirty top & bottom. You get one bath towel. No floor mat or hand towel! No spoon to mix your milk & sugar in the coffee. No bar soap. Just one tiny bottle of shampoo & conditioner. Had to ask for fresh towel after two nights & more coffee. No house keeping service. The original wood windows were leaking an enormous amount of air. One pane clearly had a 2cm (3/4") gap while "closed". Some toilet paper used for "fill" reduced some of the draft. The room had a oil or water heat system & a separate portable electric oil heater. I needed that portable heater unit at night. No USB power & scarce electrical outlets. Positives: Check-in was easy. Cool Tudor style building with some nice views facing south. Location, easy walk to town. Safe higher end neighborhood. Free onsite parking, but limited spaces. Wi-Fi worked good. Quiet.

If you're looking for just a place to sleep at a low price, it might be okay, but the issues with the bathrooms, unfinished renovations, and loose door lock are definitely concerning. As a reference from Expedia...even with a discount...we have been disapointed.

Foods provided really tasted delicious.

It did surprise me, the quality of the food was very good and delicious. The service in the restaurant is high quality, friendly and happy to help you. Dining can be discounted if you are staying at the same time.

The top floor rooms are dated in decor and carpet, the ceiling in the bathroom had water pouring through it, needed buckets to catch the drops. Mold in the bathroom, no mechanical ventilation. The rooms are not serviced daily, one towel provided, no bathroom mat for floor when you get out of bath or shower. Furniture dated and not fit for purpose. Cleaning needs improving as cobwebs on ceiling and corners, carpet dated from the 50's. Noisy from some work activity going on by staff till late.
