The Thistle is my go to hotel when flying into Terminal 5. Take the POD over to long term parking and exit for the Thistle. It's nice so you do not have to worry about a bus or taxi.

1 night stay

2nd time we have stayed here great location for either a 5 minute bus or pod ride from the terminal. Bar and restaurant is great to have a good meal and drink whilst watching planes. Great place to stay

We stayed here as it was close to the airport, the beds were very comfortable. there was a restaurant and you could get breakfast too. There were self drive pods to take you to the airport at 8 pound per person.

This place doesn't look loke much from the outside. More like a factory or old office building than a hotel. Inside things were much better. Their biggest problem is they apparently don't have any elevators. My room was excellent, clearly recently updated. My travel companions room was dated and dirty.
