How close is "A True Taste of New Orleans" to downtown New Orleans?
I stayed here for jazz fest and it was a great location for visiting New Orleans. The Bywater is close enough that you can easily ride a bike or take a short Uber to the French Quarter and to the fest. The area is quiet at night but still has options for dining or a late night drink. The unit is on the small side but big enough for 1 or 2 people. It is an older house (as they all are in this area) and could benefit from a little "sprucing up" but was generally nice. The bed was super comfortable. I would stay here again.
Perfect location near great restaurants in Bywater. Comfortable place, though the. bathroom is small and the kitchen is not well-appointed. We ate out most of the time so we managed, but effort should be made to improve the supply of basic cooking and eating implements. Also, hope the stove-top is leveled and a larger seat is installed on the toilet (suggestions already shared with the owner). We enjoyed the space for two weeks.
Great place to stay, great Po'Boys a block away, a bakery with great cakes and such. Great property, safe neighborhood. Will definitely comeback.Very nice owner/host.
Nice place to rest in between Mardi Gras celebrations. Clean and comfortable. One thing to note - the bathroom is extremely small. I had to sit sideways on the toilet to avoid my knees colliding with the sink.
