This hotel is perfect for anyone coming to New York for touristy stuff, Broadway shows, etc. I usually visit the city a couple times a year, and this is my first choice for hotels. This time, however, one of their two elevators was down for service on my latest stay, and it was incredibly inconvenient to have to wait up to ten minutes for an available elevator to get down from the 14th floor. They made the service elevators available, but it still took a long time to secure an elevator. The Belvedere will still be my first choice, but I hope the elevator situation is resolved before my next visit.

Great stay, but for the mold

I had reserved two standard beds but when I got there, they gave me one king and then a rollaway twin. Not what I booked, but it worked out. Beds were very comfortable, room was a great size, air conditioner was very generous. It tended to get quite cold in the room. The problem was the bathroom. The shower did not drain much at all and took a very long time. You absolutely could not go back to back showers. When we first walked into the room, I smelled a little musty odor. After a few days of being in the room, I realize there was mold on the shower walls. I had not noticed it before because the shower is very dark. By the time we left a few days later, the mold had grown quite a bit. I regret not having inform them of a mold, smell right away, but it had gotten quite intolerant every day the housekeepers would change our towels and make our beds and just general pick things up like the garbage but no one scrubbed the showers or the sinks which I think is how most hotels handle housekeeping.

A very pleasant stay. Very close to attractions. Hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. The elevators could be busy atimes but that is to be expected. The only slight hitch was that we were not told to leave about 45 minutes to an hour for our car to be retrieved from the valet so that delayed our departure but all in all, I will stay there again. All the staff were very pleasant

Great location, super convenient to go almost everywhere. Just don't like being reminded of tips for bellman when I left my luggages there. Don't mind if they told me to tip when I pick up. Also, it would be great if the hotel can help with keeping the luggage for a couple of days for people who will return from a short trip to another city and continue to stay afterwards.

Clean and quiet room, excellent location in midtown. Didn’t experience long waits for an elevator noted in previous reviews. Valet/self parking offered by hotel is several blocks away. So I just parked in a nearby garage around the corner on 8th avenue. It was a little challenging getting in that garage so next time I would park in the garage on 49th street in the same building as hotel. Will stay again

I did not make the trip to New York and have been trying to cancel due to illness and have been told that I have to pay the entire cost for a 4 night’s stay Expedia first stated that the hotel did not approve the cancellation and refund, when I spoke to the revenue department, I was advised that they has infact cancelled my booking and charged the one night's room + tax penalty and refunded the difference. it's been 2 months and I still have not received my refund from expedia.

Belvedere Hotel Stay

My stay at the Belvedere Hotel was very enjoyable. The Front Desk Staff, the Porters/Door Men were very personable and helpful. The location is ideal for travel to galleries and restaurants nearby.
