This is run by a 3rd party rental company. Owner canceled our reservation 6days before our arrival without notification. I contacted the rental company through VRBO, who had no idea or explanation why. VRBO gave them 48hrs to find us a new property and they were unable to find us a new rental. I was constantly asking for updates since it was so close to our trip. We ended up getting a full refund and renting outside of VRBO. We had to book a whole new rental 4 days before our trip in a new location. This was a very stressful experience.

Host was very welcoming with excellent communication in the lead up to and during our stay. The resort itself was very nice overall including the pool area and other amenities. Check in was easy and efficient and the location was excellent for exploring around the greater Phoenix area. I do not play golf so cannot review that portion however from my observations it appears to be a popular course. The room itself was nice. Some areas were a little dated or in need of a bit of maintenance including a missing panel between the small fridge and dishwasher and some painted over water damage near the shower. The screen door did not seal tight which may have contributed to some insect invasions one evening. All minor cosmetic stuff that did not detract at all from the comfort of the space. Everything was clean and comfortable and in good working order.

Legacy Golf Resort Stay

We had a good stay at this vrbo. Legacy Golf Resort is a beautiful resort, with a nice pool area, as well as a large bbq area with a kids playground. There are also tennis and basketball courts, as well as lawn games. However the pool and bbq areas aren’t very central and are a bit of a walk from most of the room locations (depending on which building you’re placed in). It wasn’t a big deal, but something to be aware of. The location of this resort is ok, but we would have preferred to be a bit closer to better restaurants and attractions. It was about a 15-30 minute drive to most parks and restaurants in downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale, so a car is a necessity. The communication with the host was great and the check in process was easy. Overall we had a great experience here.

Check in went well. If I hadn't prepaid my two weeks, I would have left. The Vrbo owner wasn't of any help.The room had a dishwasher but it was on the floor?. You had to get on your knees to see the buttons...Nobody knew how to work it...even maintenance..there is no manual either ?....then when we got it started, it didn't work. A few days later, a worker pulled it out and got it working. When it was finished the cycle, everything inside was wet?...also the shower curtain is too short and the water always leaked out onto the floor. Also one light didn't work. Legacy finally moved me, after one week, to another room nearby, and the new room wasn't much better. Same unusable dishwasher and leaky shower curtain.. On the good side, I had a bad cold when I was supposed to leave, and they gave me a free one night stay. I felt better the next day and left on schedule but it was a nice gesture. I have stayed at the Legacy for 20 years but this visit was very disappointing.

Great location for our visit

This turned out to be a one bedroom instead of a studio, so that was great. We were only a couple of block from our daughters house so that was a big plus for us. The resort is a time share and they kept trying to get us to go to a 90 minute sales pitch which we didn’t do.
