I was only in Puerto Rico for a night, but SO GLAD I booked my stay at Patio Elba. The hotel is very close to Coliseo de Puerto Rico which is why I was in town. As soon as I booked with them, they were always very communicative over text and emails. I arrived at the hotel around 12:30PM and they were able to accommodate early check-in. The lady I spoke with at the front desk was very kind and gave me some travel tips about the surrounding area. I got a heads up to not wander too much outside of the hotel late at night just because we were in the city area, but I never felt unsafe during my stay here. The room itself was squeaky clean. I had a little kitchen to myself, the bathroom was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The overall space is spacious for 1 person. If you're here for a quick getaway I would definitely recommend!!

I loved how quaint and clean this property is. I stayed here with multiple family members and we all were comfortable, felt safe and had no issues at all. The staff is very friendly and were attentive to our needs. I also love how this property is a small business.

Patio Elba Boutique Hotel is truly a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome — their warmth and attentiveness made the stay extra special. The accommodations were both cute and comfortable, striking that perfect balance between style and coziness. The location couldn’t have been better: close enough to explore everything easily, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. I would happily recommend Patio Elba to anyone visiting Puerto Rico and will definitely stay again on my next trip.

cutesy little stay!!

this stay was so simple. they walked us through every step (check in is honestly the easiest i’ve had. they text you all the codes day of!) before we even expected. we went to pr for a 7 day trip but only stayed in patio elba 2/7 & honestly i would’ve stayed all 5 nights had we stayed in san juan!! everything is so comfortable, a/c gets SO cold (which was heaven w outside being 90+ everyday), everything is clean, you have everything you need, and water pressure is even amazing. what made it even better is that it’s in the middle of everything! 787 coffee (iykyk) is a 8-10 minute walk. we unfortunately didn’t get to really use the pool or jacuzzi but just bc we stayed busy & i guess it depends on the vibe (definitely an intimate sit and chill spot if ur down) def recommend if you’re staying in san juan!

The property was exceptionally comfortable and spotless. It had the warm, welcoming feel of a home rather than a typical hotel. Our room included a private outdoor patio, which was a wonderful touch. Communication from the hotel was excellent, with clear instructions provided via text and email. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely choose it again if I return.

We loved our stay this past weekend . This hotel was so cute and clean . Our suite was a lot bigger in person than the pictures show online . A Comfortable Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups. We had a pleasant three-night stay at Patio Elba. The room was comfortable, and the staff were responsive and helpful throughout. When we discovered there was no hot water, they addressed the issue within minutes, which we really appreciated. One thing that caught us off guard was the early check-in policy. When we arrived around 12 PM, we were told (via text) that there would be a $45 early check-in fee, even though we had previously spoken to two staff members on-site who didn’t mention this. They had only said the room wasn’t ready yet. While it wasn’t a major issue—we used the time to grab food and enjoy a walk along the beach—it would have been helpful to have that policy communicated up front. The location is a bit rough around the edges, but nothing unmanageable. We're from New York and felt safe navigating the area, even with some visible homelessness. On the bright side, there are several coffee shops and great food options nearby, and the beach is just a short scooter ride away. There were a couple of small concerns during our stay. The cold setting on the shower never truly got cold—it stayed warm regardless of the adjustment. Also, we noticed some sand on the sheets, which made us question whether they had been freshly changed. We didn’t bring it up to staff since we couldn’t be sure it wasn’t from us, but it did leave a bit of doubt. That said, the hotel overall is very well maintained and clean.

I appreciated the thoughtful care that went into making the indoor patio, greenery, and rooms beautiful. The pool and hot tub are clean and convenient. The suites are very spacious and well-equipped for small or large group travel. The shared living spaces are spacious and it had a well-equipped kitchen. It was clean, and the air conditioner worked well. In general, I loved this place because it was very centrally located to many restaurants and shopping places, all within a 10-15 minute drive. There is a cafe and 2 restaurants within walking distance <2min. I wish there were on-site parking; you have to walk about 1.5 blocks to get to the hotel. Not the best for solo female travelers. But great for group travel or 2-person trip.
