Great hotel for 3 reasons:the staff, the location, and the ROOM BALCONY. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. The location is great . Close proximity to everything. Lots of restaurants. Also it's right off the FDR at 2nd so it's easy to get in and out of the city from the location. But what me liked about it most was the private balcony. We had perfect weather so our doors were always open enjoying the sounds of the city. After walking all day it was perfect for hanging out and watching ships go by on the river, having a drink and enjoying the great city view. We loved it so much we stayed another night. On the negative this hotel is old and in need of a renovation, which many of the staff mentioned was just starting, and I did notice renderings on the lobby wall of what the new rooms would look like. The room and facilities were very clean, but again a bit dated. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
This is a great location and the staff was very helpful. Like all rooms in NYC i wish the room was bigger. Couldnt adjust the A/C but was great to have the air going. Couldve been a better breakfast, but overall i would definitely stay there again. You are within walking distsnce to everything and the subway. Great vacation and want to go back asap

I like the rooms but was so disappointed that they switched from coffee maker in the room to going downstairs to the café for your coffee. I learned after the fact I could have requested a coffee maker. No one likes to have to get dressed and go downstairs for their first cup of coffee, this is the second NYC hotel we encountered that has done this. When your paying the big bucks surely they could address this one thing.
