The room was ok for an older hotel. Unfortunately, the hallway floors had a lot of visible debris and dirt. The tv in our room didn't work. There was no instructions on how to call the front desk to ask for help so I googled it and eventually found the number, called and was told they didn't know how to fix it so they'd try to find a maintenance staff to see if they knew how. No one ever contacted me about it again. I asked at the front desk again as we were going for dinner and no maintenance had been found at that point. The pool has an awesome slide though! There's a small games room with a pool table, an air hockey table and a neat pinball machine. The breakfast was nice enough and the staff were cordial. I personally wouldn't book there again but it was fine for one night. The view (water view) was very nice despite the dreary weather so I imagine it would be quite lovely on a pleasant day. There is an awesome park for dogs and kids across the road call Zwicks. Good for families and joggers/runners as there is a waterfront trail and playground equipment.

Pro’s - view on water side is beautiful. Con’s - staff is unfriendly, seems like they don’t want to be there and don’t care about their guests. - hotel is dirty, stains on sofa in 3rd floor lobby, carpets not clean, dirt on handles in room. - most of the “community” TV’s were off. - vending machines were probably removed during Covid, but not returned. - ice machine on 3rd floor was broken. - no chairs on the balconies to sit on. - breakfast initially seemed good, however, all the eggs were very over cooked and the waffles were under cooked. No meat options. - some of the staff had difficulties communicating in English. - considering we were there so close to Christmas, there was very little in the way of decorations and what was there seemed to be just “thrown” together. - hair dryer in room had live electrical wires hanging out from behind the wall cover. Easily reachable by children and right beside the water taps. - none of the staff wore any uniforms or name tags. No way to tell who actually worked there. - hotel is overall very dated. Needs updating. - there were 2 sets of towels, 1 set of soap and shampoo, but there were 3 guests registered and paying for the room.
