Wonderful hotel on the Salem waterfront

We were very happy with our stay at Salem Waterfront Hotel and Suites. It appeared the be a fairly new property. The rooms were sparking clean, spacious, very comfortable, and well-equipped with toiletries, a fridge and coffee-maker. The location was fantastic. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to visit. We appreciated the fact that there was a restaurant at the hotel, where we eat breakfast. (The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, although we ate those meals elsewhere.). The service was very friendly and helpful. The manager even printed directions for us. The only quirk was the temperature control in the room. There wasn’t a central air control for heat, but the room did have a space heater that was sufficient for the heat.

“No rules??”

Late night ~ 15 guests got a party at room 404 close to ours. Very loud in the room and hallway. For 10 minutes we tried the front desk and phone was always busy (suspiciously). I had to call from the cell to the hotel phone, as for guest support so someone responded to me. The employee could not have been less attentive to the complaint.

Check-in process was smooth. The young gentleman is so kind and friendly! Plenty of parking in front of the hotel and easy to locate. Good location and walkable to museums, historic sites, and shops! The deluxe is very spacious and has plenty of storage space (if you're spending multiple nights). The hallways and our room is very clean and updated. Love how the interior decoration has a nautical theme- the wallpaper, lamp base, navy/ blue furniture, and the framed wall art. If I ever return to Salem, will book this hotel again!

My experience at the waterfront hotel was excellent , the staff were attentive; very present and genuinely seemed happy to serve guests . I had an emergency situation where I needed a room very late into the evening due to travel complications, and when I called they were more than happy and able to recieve me so late . I felt extremely safe and comfortable knowing there was a safe place I could book and that the staff were more than able to accommodate me , I will be booking a room here every time I am in Salem from now on !, p.s they also held my luggage while I was able to explore Salem and have a later flight in the evening, talk about a 5 star experience!!.

Wonderful and Convenient

Wanted a very nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel within walking distance to the center, and BINGO - found it! They even have their own private parking and a small restaurant. Wonderfully helpful smiling staff, coffee maker fridge, etc. Could not have been any better - perfect!

Very clean, stylish decor, a very comfortable stay for our first time visiting Salem! The location is great and walkable to everything you want to see in Salem. We really enjoyed the food from the one on-site restaurant, Mainstay Social, for room service and take out. I would stay here again!
