Beautiful place. We wanted an unforgettable romantic birthday experience with wood burning fireplace. The wood was so green, we took 2 hours to get a reasonable burn that died out quickly. No real breakfast, just dried up continental. Dinner was OK nothing special… lovely staff though. Fourth time here and maybe the last. We have had so many great memories when the restaurant was open for breakfast and lunch. We were very hungry lol. Also bring an axe. The firewood was too big and green

The cabin was cozy, gorgeous and the staff were amazing. Everything about the experience was relaxing and easy. It was great to have access to so many hikes and then come back to a wood burning fire. The restaurant lodge was always accommodating and had incredible food. We did the chefs tasting one night and then the charcuterie, both were incredible! Highly recommended!

LOVED LOVED LOVED our stay at this property. Loved the cabin, loved the setting, loved the staff, and most of all loved the food. Hands down the very best food we had on our entire 8-day trip. We stayed in cabin WP near the back of the property and did not hear any road noise. Would absolutely stay here again.

What a unique and wonderful stay we had in these amazing log cabins. Upon arriving at our log cabin, we were blown away at everything that was presented, the photos on the website just don’t do these cabins justice. To sit in front of our own open log fire and relax with a nice glass of wine just felt like heaven. We look forward to staying here again in the future and can’t recommend these cabins and staff enough

Expensive but iconic cabins
If price is not an issue, you will enjoy these historic, quaint, well equippred cabins in Banff NP. Small but very comfortable and with ensuite fireplace. However, there really was no kindling available to get the rather large large firewood going. Again, if price is not an issue, extend your experience with a dinner either in the lodger or delivered to your cabin. We enjoyed our stay but the next night we stayed in roomier cabins with better facilities far into the forest outside of Golden for a third of what we paid here.

We would give the cabin a poor rating and the restaurant/ lodge an excellent rating. The cabin was really small, cramped, and dark, thankfully there was a small front porch so we could sit outside. The cabin was technically "in the woods" but it was also right off the highway and we could see and hear trucks driving by all night. The location was 1/2 way between Banff and Lake Louise, so not very convenient to either place. We paid close to $400 a night US and were extremely disappointed. . On the other hand, the restaurant was fabulous! We had dinner there both nights, the food was amazing, cooked to perfection and beautiful presentation. Really nice staff and great ambience, would highly recommend booking dinner reservations at Storm Mountain Lodge and staying somewhere else.
