Okay For One Night

Stayed only one night with my wife and teenage son. Hotel is 80's decor and a little tired. The two queen size beds are best described as tampolines. Not very comfortable. TV reception was extremely bad. When we checked in we were told by the clerk that we would get a free breakfast. I heard her say it and so did my son. Next morning we found out that was a mistake by a new desk clerk and there was no free breakfast. Morning desk clerk admitted mistake but made no attempts to offer a sincre apology or compensation.

Family friendly

Pros: Quiet
We picked this hotel because it had a pool for the kids. They loved the pool! Although it was a little on the chilly side. The rooms were well equipt, we even got a travel cot in among the furniture. Would deffinately go back :0)

The staff were very friendly and happy to serve.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The location was perfect, right in the middle of Banff Ave. The pool was clean and the kids used it every day. The lodge sold lift passes to the hills for $5 cheaper than the ski hills. Underground parking was great, but watch the height, 6'4". I would recommend this place to anyone!

Nice hotel for price

It wasn't the most lavish hotel I've stayed at, but for the price the room was clean and it was walkable distance to a lot of downtown Banff. They had free bikes for guest use which was nice and the staff behind the desk had great hike recommendations.

very good experience

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The hotel was very nice...within walking distance of downtown so was easy to get around. Underground parking and an elevator made it very to load and unload luggage. Would stay there again

A Bit Far from the 'Action'

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
My wife and I had an interior room where the air conditioning did not work for the 2 nights we stayed, even after they changed the room's thermostat. A window would have been nice. Bicycles were available for free if you wished to ride to the center of town/sights. The garage parking was a nice amenity. We chose to eat our dinners at nearby restaurants within walking distance.
