It was okay

The hotel was just okay overall, but it definitely shows its age. The building and facilities are quite dated, and that was noticeable throughout our stay. The service was decent, although one of the front desk staff in the evening came across as a bit rude at first. Not a huge issue, but it did affect the first impression. Our first room was very disappointing. It was hot, had no natural light, and we had to keep the lamps on even during the day. We asked to be moved and were thankfully given a better room on the second floor, which made the rest of the stay more comfortable. I would recommend this place only for a short stay, maybe one or two nights. For anything longer, I’d suggest looking at other options, especially considering the price.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Charlton Hotel. Attentive front staff, very clean with great amenities. Got 3rd floor room with vaulted ceilings and mountain view. Very nice!

The room was too small basically it's one room with bedroom on the wooden roof which creeks and you can hear next door creeking as well.. washroom exhaust sounds like commercial kitchen vent fan..lights are like it's vampire house. Coffee machine was not even clean

Nothing luxury but definitely a decent place to stay if you still want a good place to stay on Banff Avenue. No issues during our stay! Able to check in late via the neighbouring hotel the Banff Inn and also enjoyed their hot pool and sauna as well. No complaints! Always found a spot in the parking lot we paid for.
