Room 229 constant ventilation noise. Making hard to fall to sleep. Room size smaller than usual hotel’s. Outdated big TV furniture that do not match the nowadays style.

This hotel is different from the others - in a good way!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, cute rooms, hot tub, allows pet
Cons: not in town
I loved everything about the Juniper. Especially the retro decor, and the location, and the restaurant, and the hot tub.... I loved it all! We had a romantic winter weekend there. Its classy and relaxed and cool all at the same time! Its not like your typical hotel, its clean and has been fully renovated - but still retains the character of the original hotel. I want to return in the summer and have a glass of wine on the patio!! The food at the restaurant was excellent, as was the service. The desk staff were awesome - especially Nicki. I would recommend this hotel, and we will stay there again ourselves. Pet friendly! They also allowed us to bring our well behaved dog into the hotel, which was great, as we like to travel with our pet when we can. (We were responsible pet owners and cleaned up after him, so hopefully they will continue to allow pets in the future!)

The view is beautiful but unfortunately it is right over a highway. Our Room AC was not working and despite our inquiring to get it fixed, this was never done and it was quite hot the day of arrival and till late evening. On a bright note, the restaurant is excellent.

Thank you for your review. Sorry for this communication breakdown, maintenance stopped by your room to inspect the A/C when you were in the restaurant, but unfortunately he couldn't fix the issue right away, so the front desk agent tried to call your room a few times and left a voicemail on your phone to contact the FD for further assistance, which might have been missed. We are glad that you enjoyed our bistro and views from the room, hopefully you enjoyed your stay in Banff and we will have a chance to welcome you again.

amenities not up to par. bottles are made of very hard plastics and difficult to use. one has to squeezed the bottle with both hands to dispense the content. we stayed for 2 nights. no replacement of any of the bottles used, the towel for the bath room floor wasn't even replaced, worse yet, the shower wasn't cleaned for the day because we can see the strands of hairs from the previous day. Although there are only 2 floors, there is no elevator to use. Better make sure you can tow your own luggage up the stairs!!!!

Nice Boutique Hotel

Pros: Price was fair, bed was comfortable.
Cons: Put in an elevator. Put a better lamp behind the chair to allow reading there.
Location: Skiing was OK, not spectacular, although it did snow quite a bit soon after I left. Touring was awesome, Lake Louise and Calgary are both easy drives.
I booked a cheap room in the hotel - small room with a king bed on the mountain side, i.e. view of the parking lot rather than the mountains. There are many rooms that are nicer, but I went on a budget. The first surprise was that the hotel has no elevator and my room was on the second floor. The woman who checked me in got help for me to lug all of my ski gear and suitcases up the stairs, and she personally helped carry some stuff. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the lighting was a bit weak. One corner was set up with a chair and small log table which would have been an excellent place to sit and read except the lamp was far too dim to read by. The room was above the restaurant, so I could hear faint music at times, but it wasn't too bad. The bed was comfortable to me, with plenty of pillows. The lobby and lower hallways were nicely decorated. The parking lot and road leading in were covered with ice, common conditions in the Banff area in winter.

Room with an awesome view!

We were very impressed with this hotel. Beautifully decorated, updated, amazing bed, soft linens. We had the most amazing view of Banff right outside our walk-out patio. The perfect place to sit and relax and enjoy an afternoon glass of wine or early morning coffee. Very friendly staff of young adults from all over the world. Very helpful and full of helpful advice on where to hike, eat, etc. The only complaints - stay upstairs to avoid the noise on the lower floor from the upstairs guests walking on the wood floors. Very noisy. Ear plugs may help with that somewhat, but will definitely help with the slight noise from the highway below.

Couple /vacation

When we arrived we were given a room with 2 double beds and a view of the roof. We requested a change, and received a room with 1 queen bed and a view of the parking lot (better than the roof). The room was very nice, but the bathroom floor did not appear too clean. It was made from slate, and could be difficult to clean. The temperture was difficult to regulate. There was a bistro on site, but we did not eat there because it had a limited, expensive selection. There was only 1 ice machine and vending machine, and we had to go downstairs to reach them. Be advised there is no elevator for people with difficulty with stairs.
