Our time at Punta Blanca was exquisite. The location is simply magical with the constant crashing of waves in the background and private feel of the cabaña’s making it the perfect romantic getaway. We woke up everyday with a view of the ocean from our 2nd story bedroom, and took a short 20 foot walk to where the phenomenal complimentary breakfast was served. This is something to look forward to every morning, in our week stay we enjoyed everything fish offered from the authentic menu. Our rooms were tended to every day and were very clean and welcoming. The only cons would be that the warm water was sporadic and we could never find the right temperature before the hot water ran out. Also make sure to contact them before you arrive to have a stress free transport experience from the airport. We attempted to call from the airport to the front desk and didn’t get much help and subsequently payed $100 to a transport service to get to the resort, (50 min drive). All things considered we throughly enjoyed the peaceful and communal atmosphere that was present. Staff were remarkable and were treated like family throughout our stay. Complements to Emilio and Jenni for top notch service.

Beautiful location lovely staff and Ana Paola was a brilliant masseuse BUT the food was terrible and some of the worst in Mexico we had sadly. We also had no hot water in our showers, a broken door on the first night that banged all night long keeping us awake - which was fixed in the morning on request, but it must have been an issue for some time - and it’s not possible to buy bottle still water which did seem pretty strange. As I said location is beautiful, right on the beach but there’s no shade and if you’re staying at the hotel there’s really nowhere you can walk to. We tried walking down the beach and were met with all inclusive resorts where you couldn’t go in or out of. The closest restaurant we found was Puerto Santo which had great food & cocktails. If you stay at Punta Blanca would recommend booking dinners out and be ready for very much chill.

We were SUPER excited for this stay - we had added an extra day to our trip and I chose this hotel for our last night as a special treat. The good points are that the grounds are gorgeous. It is clean. Servers are sweet - one even tried to refuse a tip. The bad is that it truly is in the middle of nowhere, and the dirt road is full of deep holes. Several taxis refused to take us there. The taxi the hotel called to take us to the airport cost $100+ USD with tip and there were NO other options. Same is true of dining. Like others said, the drinks and food were bad and once you’re there, you’ve stuck. No other options. We stayed on a day when it was overcast. We weren’t able to take showers because we had no hot water. They rely on solar and I guess it wasn’t strong enough. It was a blustery cold day for CUN, and a hot shower is a hotel *necessity.* The thing we liked least were our interactions with the front desk. At checkin, after a stressful and expensive cab ride (I was just relieved he didn’t abandon us or get stuck - and I’ve been on some rough roads) we were told we needed to pay $60+ MXN in fees/night and there was a mandatory credit card hold of $2000 MXN PER person PER night! (They waived the mandatory hold after we got upset). At checkout, they “suggested” $400 MXN for “tips for people who work behind the scenes.” Overall, bad business. Not classy. I love freely tipping well. But it was a bait trap. You’re stuck there and they know it. It felt predatory.

Bel hôtel directement sur la plage. Le personnel est très attentionné et gentil. C'est vrai qu'il n'y a pas toujours tout ce qu'il y a sur le menu mais on s'adapte. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux. C'est loin de tout alors on n'a pas trop le choix de manger ce qu'il y a sur place. C'est parfait pour décrocher 3-4 jours mais je ne resterais pas plus longtemps. L'ambiance est authentique et rustique, il ne faut pas s'attendre à un grand complexe hôtelier de luxe mais tout est propre. Bon endroit pour décrocher, la plage est tranquille et très belle.

The beach was wonderful. Friendly staff. Dangerous ladders to our swim up floor. Did not use throughout our stay. Waste of money for this room. Quite isolated. La cabaña 1 con una vista espectacular del mar! La atención en general de todo el persona, reservamos para très pero solo habían dos toallas, y el sofá no tenía una sábana extra para nuestro hijo. This was a very secluded, beach property. Edith at the front desk was very helpful, assisting with transportation and any of our other requests with a smile. The staff on the beach, housekeeping, and anyone else we came in contact with were helpful and accommodating. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to enjoy the sea and disconnecting from everyday life, this is the place for you. If you want constant entertainment and crowds, you may need to look elsewhere.

This resort is so peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. The staff was amazing, super helpful and SO nice. Food was great, the resort is right on the water! Had several meals sitting ocean front with an incredible view! Make sure to book a massage, she is awesome! Can't wait to book again. If you're looking for shiny and ultra modern this is not for you, if you want low key, great staff, laid back surroundings, look no further.

We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the resort and spent most of our time hanging out either in the beachside cabana or our private mini pool at our casita. The resort is off the beaten path and away from all inclusives, which was a bonus for us. We had no problems reaching the resort. The soft sand and warm water were lovely, although we had to contend with sargassum a few days. We stayed in both the pool casita and the beach casita during our stay. The pool casita was our favorite despite not being able to use the community pool due to an algae bloom. The pool casita has a little outdoor concrete hot tub that we used instead as a place to soak after being on the beach all day. The staff is wonderful; we found them to be kind and welcoming. If you need anything, just ask. They located us an extra chair and cleaned our pool upon request.

This was the most charming stay. It's uniquely beautiful and more akin to Fiji or Bali than Mexico. It's a very small beach hotel with stunning views, Gourmet food, quiet surroundings and very helpful and friendly staff always eager to make you feel at home ! Not overly crowded like big resorts. You feel safe here and completely relaxed. The rooms were very nice with simple natural furnishings. Soft bed! We even had a small kitchen equipped with a fridge. Everything except your room is open-air at this boutique hotel. Come here is you want to enjoy the best coastline in Mexico. A+

Great for a secluded getaway. Definitely off the beaten path, so come prepared to disconnect. It’s a tiny beachfront hotel, so I think the 4 star rating is misleading. Don’t come expecting a resort. I came because I wanted a seaweed-free beach, and the beach here was nice and swimmable. Edith and Samantha were both lovely and very helpful. I was originally in a beach casita but felt a little nervous as a solo female traveler and preferred to be in the main building, where there were also fewer mosquitoes. The property felt very safe - I’m just a chicken and didn’t want to be alone. I think the casitas are great for a couple - very romantic. The hotel is showing some wear and could use a refresh in the rooms and especially the beach chairs, but it’s still very cute if you go into it with the right expectations. My biggest issue was the hours of the bar/restaurant and the lack of shade in the mornings until they arrive and put out the umbrellas. The bar is supposed to open at 11, but it was closer to noon both days I was there, and there is no other option, so you just have to wait. The included breakfast is great. Overall it’s a good value and great for disconnecting.
