I was so impressed with my stay! It was so clean and the staff were absolutely amazing. The only down side i can think of is that the resort is about 30 min from the hotel zone but there’s plenty to do on the resort so that didn’t matter much anyways. They have shows and activities going on all day and night i had a blast!

Perfect! Fulfilled all my dreams for a fantastic family vacation with my two teens and husband. Superior service, great food, no reservations needed at any restaurant, always a lounge chair available at the beach and pools, always something to do, grounds were impeccable, I could go on and on. I relied on reviews while searching for a trip and all the reviews lived up to every word of how amazing RIU is. I highly recommend a trip to Dunamar and hope to return soon. Stayed in a 4th floor suite, and the view from the room was fantastic. Loved the huge ocean-facing balcony. Also loved the waterpark and the separate family and adult pools. Beach was good-sized and beautiful. There were always chairs available, which was nice because we’d move from beach to pool to waterpark all in a day. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend!

We actually ended up staying in Riu Palace right next to Dunamar. Dunmar is a great hotel has great night shows , the beach is awesome. Really light soft white sand blue water reflecting through the white send. Palace is a little more luxurious but at the same time more expensive so staying at Dunamar might actually be the way to go.

This resort is a very nice family-oriented option with a bunch of activities for children and adults. The dining options we're just okay and some of the food items were not that great. The property was maintained very well and everything was clean at all times. The staff is friendly, however, there were language barriers. I would still recommend this resort, but also willing to check other options for all-inclusives.

This is more like a 3 star reset. The biggest issue we had was the food. Everything was so dry. We ended up going off resort for food because the food was so bad. Also- the water park is not open on mondays so that was not something we knew ahead of time. The beds are so small that my husband and I couldn’t fit in a bed together. We are not large people either. The resort being “renovated “ isn’t an upscale renovation either. The beach and water were clean though. We will likely not return to any Rius in the future. We have stayed at Rius previously and this one was just not up to par.

Traveled with my daughter who has Celiac and they provided her with safe dining options every day, at every meal, at every restaurant, with a chef coming out to even ask what she wanted several times. The property was beautiful and staff was constantly cleaning. Never had to fight for a chair, or wait that long for a drink. An amazing vacation! Highly recommend!

Great staff. Great for families too. Just wish they managed the towel saving on the seats at the pool a little more. If you didnt get a seat by 630am it was pretty tough to find a spot.

I had high hopes going to Riu Dunamar based on Expedia and Google reviews, the resort was pretty disappointing. The food quality was sub par compared to other resorts we stayed that in Mexico. The choice was limited, and what was available was not to the standard of other resorts. The facilities were lacking as well. There are only 3 public bathrooms for the whole resort on the ground floor and outside. There are no activities for kids besides pools, the water park and the evening show. No basketball court, mini golf, movie theatre. Nothing indoors for peak sun during the day. Besides the waterpark, the pools are way too deep for small children. 1.3m is the minimum depth everywhere, be warned if you have small children like we do. On the positive side the beach was nice. The kids enjoyed the stay and had a good time. It wasn't a terrible experience, but far from 5 star resort advertised. Oh the location is also pretty remote. 1.5 hours for any excursion. Decent trip overall, but would not repeat. Planet Hollywood next door is significantly better at a similar price point.
