The resort is beautiful and the rooms are over sized. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed all of the restaurants but our absolute favorite was the Italian restaurant Davino! Manager Manuel, our waiter Salomon Torres, Pancho, chef Fabiano and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure that our family has the best experience possible. Our 11 year old daughter loved watching creation of various deserts. Pancho and chef Fabiano taught her and let her create her own deserts. I cannot describe how much fun she had and how incredibly happy she was. The food was incredibly delicious and Salomon was the best waiter we ever had. The only negative thing about the beach was the seaweed overgrowth but resort staff worked very hard on removing it. Pools were very large and temperature of the water was absolutely perfect. We had the best time and cannot wait to come back to Cancun.

Great experience Overall!

Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was courteous and attentive. Food was great. Overall great experience! One detail that I did not like was that I requested a King Size Bed and was offered and given two Queen Size Beds instead. They said King Size Bed was subject to availability.

Nice and quiet in Sept.

Pros: It is a nice size resort but did not require a lot of walking to get to places. Great scenery and layout.
Cons: The 1 issue we had were mosquitoes after a small rain. Spray for the mosquitoes. Cut back on the Timeshare pitch as not everyone wants to sit or hear.
Had a destination wedding to attend at the V D P. Great resort , nice beach, The staff was very pleasant. We had no bad experiences with the staff. All wedding activities were well planned and executed.

Bait and switch by Travelocity!

I purchased an all inclusive vacation package from Travelocity for my family. At least I thought I did because that's how it was advertised and sold. When I arrived at the resort they had me booked in a 1st floor studio with no view. Basically the worst room at the resort! I made some noise and got a better room with a veiw but ended up paying almost $2000.00 extra for an all inclusive vacation. I will never book anything through Travelocity ever again! I am currently requesting a full refund for my entire vacation due to the stress, false advertising and frustration it caused my family. Here's how they baited and switched. The said resort was advertised as an "all inclusive only" resort but it depends on what type of room you select! No where is this information stated on the site nor do they inform you prior to making the final purchase. It's a complete scam from beginning to end! I noticed at least 40 different families, couples and angry customers finding out the bad news from the resort as I did in just a few days. I would have never purchased a one room studio with no meal plan and no resort ammentities. I could of stayed at the Rits Carlton for what I eventually paid for a 2-star resort that's understaffed, undermanaged and designed mainly to sell time shares. There is no recourse once you check into the resort! They know that and it's impossible to contact Travelocity once you're out of the country!

This hotel is a rip-off

Location: Nothing close! Just the ferry to the island in front of it.
The hotel is nice and most of their employees are very helpful. HOWEVER... 1. Our flights were changed, arriving one day later and departing one day later; we called to make the arrangements and we were told that everything was fine, but later they decided that as we had used Travelocity, they could charge one additional night in the two rooms we had already paid for. 2. It is far away from any place, so you need to get a taxi to go anywhere... but they only allow you to take the special red taxis, that charge 4 times the normal rate. I tried calling another taxi company and even used uber and they do not allow them to get close to the hotel. Normal taxi to airport: USD 16, Red Taxi, USD 65 to 100 depending on size. 3. The exchange rate today is close to 19 MEX to 1 USD, however they accept the USD at 16,5. so that is a 15% additional price! And of course they have one ATM... but only gives USD bills... 4. Straws!!! They use plastic straws in all the coctails, but at the beach nobody collects them.. one day at dusk I collected 14 from the sand... haven´t they watch all the damage these are causing to the oceans and fish? 5. They have 5 restarurants, and we tried all them. Food is good and prices a little high. The problem is that they close one per night so you have to do a one-hour line to get in... And at lunch they only open two, with the same type of lunch every single day! IN summary, go to another hotel where they are descent and you can walk and eat around.

Nice resort.

Pros: food
Cons: no extra tip, everyone is all inclusive
Location: its remote. stay on site
Nice resort but having all inclusive and pay as you go guests in same resort makes things very confusing. Up side, everyone is great, food is great and drinks are good. But the management need to evaluate all inclusive and pay as you go operation. I had all inclusive but found to be tiresome to keep signing the checks. I also found the check with "extra tip" line very annoying. I felt that I needed to put extra tips so that I didn't want to offend the servers. But place is nice, although its remote, food and service is good.
