I liked the fact that it was in walking distance to shopping. I did not like the surrounding area it liked old and very worn down.

Horrible experience!! They were filming a show in the lobby and it was such an inconvenience. Could not come and go as we pleased. Was stuck in the elevator and lobby while they shot their scene. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN!!

We really liked the artistic design of the room from the designer chairs to the beautiful interior doors and contemporary art on the walls. The bed was fantastic - an almost feather bed with soft duvet cover. The restaurant was a plus - with a unique menu and highly competent staff. In all a great refurbished hotel only a short walk to downtown LA amenities.

The hotel room was tiny and not clean. I had to hunt down staff to put clean sheets on the bed upon my arrival at check in. I was told room service left at 5 and no one was available. When they finally talked someone into changing the linen they could not find clean linen and didn’t know where to look. I had to beg for towels and wash cloths and they were also dirty. I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!

My fiance` and I were in town visiting LA for a week. She loved the rustic, contemporary, artistic type of decor of the hotel. The view was amazing and the staff was informative and very nice. The weekend we were there was a nice live, reggae band played in the lounge. The hotel restaurant had great food and the drinks at the bar were on point. Location was great! 10 minute walk from dwntwn, and metro transit bus system easy to get to from Mayfair. Only thing is, front desk assigned room key to another guests and while my gf and I were doing what couples do at night:) the other guests came into our room. We were mortified and almost left that night. Also no microwave in the entire building so ALL the places we went to eat we couldnt save food for later.

Beautiful retro decor! We loved the feel! Room was decorated well, but bathroom could have been a bit larger. The door to the room was opaque, so light came right through!
