Room wasn't the cleanest, but OK. Floors were not carpeted, so it's easy to see dirt on bare floor. This also made the room seem a bit cold. Bed was comfortable, but like seemingly all hotel pillows, these pillows leave much to be desired as they were not at all supportive. Bathroom shower head had some broken nozzles and is honestly too big. That caused water to go all over the floor when we showered, making quite a mess that we had to mop up just so we didn't track water all over the room (Room was #901). Location is excellent, with two subway stations about a block away to assist in getting places timely. The attached restaurant had great food, too. Staff were friendly and helpful. They are a very casual and easy-going group...not fancy, which is fine with me. Many of them did smell of Marijuana. It didn't seem to affect their work, but I personally find the smell off-putting. That said, the entire city stinks like weed, so the hotel staff smelling of it was par for the course.
Overall, staff were friendly and helpful. Fit and polish of the facility is a little below average, but location was great and the price was very good for NYC. I would consider staying here again.
