We had our honeymoon here 17 years ago. It's still as wonderful as it was then. Beautiful, peaceful, the staff is lovely and helpful. The food is fantastic. The only tiny complaint I have is that the music is too loud we talked to several guest who would prefer to have softer relaxing music no need for base. And no need for music on the beach during the day you can usually find a quiet spot but I think limiting that would help. Everything else is perfection. It's not a party place and we love that about it. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for such a lovely week!!

On the property, it was better than what we had expected! We loved how there was wildlife hanging out (e.g., the iguanas), and the service was more than what we could've asked for. The food was way above our expectation. With personal preferences, we did find some things foreign, but there was not a meal where we were not satisfied. The ladies we had for room service (Claudia and Guadalupe) were very kind and did things we did not expect them to do (e.g., fold clothing that we had washed!). Booking tours and activities in the Cancun area was very convenient; reserving the shuttle to hotel (after arriving at the airport) and back to the airport was an easy process as well. Most of the staff members who we had passed by greeted us with "Hola!" which made us feel welcomed, despite being one of the few Asians around at the hotel space. We definitely would love to come again, and we would recommend this place to anyone who asks about where we went for our honeymoon!

the resort was beautiful and relaxing. all the workers were super friendly and accommodating, anything you need they will make it happen. I am recommending to everybody who asks and I will definitely be back. highly recommend the atv and wave runner tours as well as the sunset catamaran tour.

A Perfectly Romantic and Accommodating Escape – El Dorado Maroma Our stay at El Dorado Maroma was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special. Unfortunately, my boyfriend fell ill during our trip, but the concierge was incredibly helpful—they assisted me in getting a doctor and even arranged transportation to the pharmacy for his medication. Despite being under the weather, he still got to enjoy his birthday, as the staff thoughtfully brought the celebration to our room, ensuring he felt special. The resort itself is stunning. The rooms were impeccably clean, and every staff member we encountered was warm, accommodating, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay wonderful. The beach? Absolutely breathtaking—easily the most beautiful I’ve seen in Mexico, and I’ve been to quite a few. The tranquility of the resort was another highlight. It often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, which made for a romantic and peaceful escape. If you’re looking for a lively party scene, this isn’t the place—but for those seeking relaxation and intimacy, it’s perfect. Since my boyfriend was resting, I attended their 60-minute membership presentation, and while I ultimately didn’t join, I appreciated how pleasant and non-pushy the experience was. Maybe next time! El Dorado Maroma exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable stay.

The resort is absolutely stunning and very clean. The resort itself had wonderful landscaping and the pool areas were great. Lots of places to lounge, including lovely cabanas for resting near the ocean. The beach was gorgeous, with white sand that never got hot under your feet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurants were all wonderful. Every meal was good, and some were amazing. Of the inclusions that we tried, the catamaran snorkeling trip was our favorite. We weren't really there for the alcohol, but some people were. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and even saw an albino stingray. The trip was just the right length and the views were lovely. The Cenote/Ranch trip was less enjoyable. The cenote was fine, but not exceptional, although we liked our guide. The Ranch part of it was very detailed introductions to each horse and a long explanation of types of horse shoes and what they are used for. We didn't really enjoy that part. Overall I think this resort is amazing and would definitely go there again!

Our stay at El Dorado Maroma was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch, making us feel completely taken care of in a truly all-inclusive environment. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was stunning—it featured a giant Jacuzzi tub and a beautiful view of the ocean. The resort itself is incredibly quiet and private, which made for a wonderfully relaxing getaway. We often had a pool all to ourselves, which felt like such a luxury. The beach service was first-come, first-serve, but we never had an issue finding a spot, and the service was always excellent. The food was great, with a variety of delicious options. The spa was very clean and beautiful and the couples massage price was reasonable. If I had to mention any downside, it would be the reservation system—having to book dinner and activities in advance took away some of the spontaneity I prefer in a beach vacation. However, that was a small inconvenience compared to how amazing everything else was. Overall, El Dorado Maroma is a fantastic, relaxing, and luxurious escape, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-end all-inclusive experience!

This is an incredibly special resort. The people make it so easy to come back to time and again. This resort truly surprised us. First off I would like to say that we stayed at the Mi Hotelito room. I heard they have been the most recently renovated. It was a beautiful room that felt like a tropical getaway. The location was prime! That was our favorite part. We loved hanging out on our little patio and still received butler service there. Service everywhere was outstanding. Staff were always very happy to help. The food was the best we've had at an all-inclusive. It's a smaller resort and no buffet, so everything is cooked fresh. We usually get tired of the food by the end but not here. Chips and salsas to begin most meals. There are lots of Mexican options on the menu. We once went to a resort in Mexico with no Mexican restaurant, and it was so disappointing. El dorado maroma felt very Mexican and not just like an American resort in Mexico. We loved all the Mexican touches here. We wish they would do away with needing reservations at the restaurants. Felt very unnecessary. The beach was beautiful, but I will admit it's not exactly the type of beach I enjoy. I love swimming in the ocean. This was pretty shallow, and they had black metal lumps in the water that were pretty unsightly. The loungers are also kept pretty far back. It would have been nice if they were closer to the water. I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The paddleboarding and kayaks were free and made the ocean very enjoyable. There was never a wait to use them. While paddleboarding, I saw starfish, a sting
