We loved this hotel and will be coming back here for sure. It's a boutique, so no hounding of timeshare pitches! It was very conveniently located, great view from our room and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The beach was just steps from the lobby. Breakfast was perfect, not extravagant, but enough to get you going for the day til lunch. The two things that weren't great, that others have mentioned, was that you can't flush toilet paper in the toilet, so that took a little getting used to. We did find that to be the case at a few restaurants on the Malecon also. The other thing was that the bar across the street played loud music until 1am or so. Prices of everything was good. Pool service was very nice. The pool was a little chilly!

The property is lovely, the staff are very helpful and accommodating, and you are just a short drive/inexpensive taxi ride to the beaches. This property is a gem and we will definitely stay here again.

This was a very spacious room, clean, and had a big balcony overlooking the ocean. The pool area was awesome, and the food and drinks were great. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff was friendly.

This is a pleasant hotel. But for what we paid, over $350 Canadian per night, I would have expected more. We had a city view room, rather dark, with a squeaky older mattress. The room could have been cleaner. On the positive side there was a nice hot breakfast on a patio, a nice pool deck, and the staff were friendly.

While the location of the hotel is great; everything is within walking distance. We stayed in a premium suite, 208. The bathroom sink had a leak and smelled like sewer. The television would only connect to the internet in the morning to be able to watch Netflix. It’s very noisy during the night time. the beach is very rocky which my kids disliked. Our stay was during winter season but the pool was also very very cold. Again, location is great. Rooms are just a bit outdated, and a bigger tv would be nice.

Location was great. Having a balcony was great. Service - staff virtually live there to serve you even on holidays, so I am very grateful. Having a map to hand out and show directions where to go, where to take the bus, where to eat, etc would be helpful. Having to go down to get cold water and coffee was a little inconvenient. You may think about just having instant coffee packets in the room. Hot tub access limited to certain suites, not for everybody. All in all I would stay again though. Its a good deal, esp last minute and over a major holiday. Hotel is better suited for long vacations, however, i.e. two weeks or longer
