Convenient little place and a great value conveniently located close to West Queens West. Has just about what you need for a short and easy stay with all the basic amenities. Donât be expecting the Ritz or to be prepping any gourmet meals. If your expectations in line you will very much enjoy this small little gem. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. This place will be very high on my list for my next trip to Toronto.
My spouse and I loved our time at this wonderful apartment. It was perfect for our few nights in Toronto. We were able to easily walk or take the street car to restaurants and events, then easily make it back to the apartment to rest for a bit before deciding what we'd do next. The apartment was very comfortable, easy to access, and we loved having our morning coffee on the little porch.
As for the studio apartment/condo, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The only complaint we had about the apartment was that the bathroom was way too small. You could barely turn around in the shower. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, markets, and bars. It is not within walking distance of downtown, but Uber was less than $10 each ride.
The major downfall of this stay were the noisy neighbors. The apartment or condo is adjacent to several others and right next to the stairs. People were constantly going in and out. Anytime someone talked while they were coming/going, it sounded as though they were standing in our rental talking. That's how loud it was. We like to sleep in until at least 10am while on vacation, and that wasn't really an option with the noise level.
I stayed at Molly's apartment for a four nights just before Christmas, as I was looking for a quite place to stay to get some writing done. The apartment was perfect for this. It's elegantly furnished, and everything looks brand new and is immaculately clean. The apartment feels spacious (perhaps because of the high ceilings), so would be perfect for a couple wanting to explore Toronto. It's on the King St streetcar line, which is handy for downtown. The stretch of King St near the apartment is very quiet. The handy No Frills supermarket on the corner was closed for repairs while I was there, but there are lots of shops and restaurants a short walk away on Queen St, with lots of great indian and afghan food. Molly met me when I arrived, and showed me around the place, but otherwise didn't disturb me - letting me know that she was available nearby if I had any questions. Overall, I had a lovely quiet stay, and would definitely book it again!
(The only negative for me was to do with the VRBO website, which I didn't realize lists the prices in US dollars, and then converts them to Canadian dollars after you book, as well as adding in a booking fee, so the price was higher than I expected - but that appears to be a problem for all VRBO listings)
