Well, I paid my stay in advance, but there was a power outage on the 27th of October at the hotel and I was staying at the 18th floor, there was no water and no power - so I ended up at a public library to charge my phone and work for 2 hours from there too. Then I found out the power was supposed to return in the 28th. I had to check to out since it was impossible to stay there in the dark, 1 elevator only working and no water at all, so I could not use the toilet there. Well, I talked to the manager and they told me they would not charge me for that night but I had to ask Hotels.com for a refund since I booked my stay with it. I contacted hotels.com and to my surprise they said holiday inn refused to refund me. This is disonest to say the least and they are liars. I collected evidences, I'm a lawyer and I'll sue hotels.com. I had to book another hotel last minute, which was expensive (they recommended the Chelsea hotel which was suposed to have a special rate, but then it was more expensive because I had to pay taxes too, so it costed me around 350 dollars for 1 night withiut breakfast and I had no options really, so I had to take it due to short offers since I had to book a room ladt minute) and could not sightsee in Toronto as planned during my short stay there. Do not recommend it and the breakfast is worse than many hostels worldwide, nothing that I expected for a so-called 4* hotel

The only issue I had was the washroom in the room smelled like urine. The staff on all levels are very courteous. They made it easy to tip their service as they all were very accommodating, communicative and friendly. Front clerk, the day bar and restaurant, breakfast staff and cleaning staff. Thank you. Dave

Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und außerordentlich hilfsbereit. Der Tiefgaragenplatz war sehr bequem zu erreichen; es gab ausreichend Parkplätze. Wir konnten nach dem Auschecken das Auto bis am späten Nachmittag in der Tiefgarage lassen. Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig.
