Clearly for business travellers

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, pool, toy treat for kids
Cons: poor restaurant service
Our family stayed at this hotel recently while some work was done on our house. It's clearly set up for business travellers - our room had a shower but not a tub, which would have been nice for our almost-4 year old. And the raised-bowl sink was stylish but again impractical for families, and left no counter space. The pool was nice to have, and there were even water wings and a child-size life jacket to borrow. The cleaning and check in staff were friendly and especially nice to my daughter. However we stayed for breakfast, and the restaurant was a ghost town. It seemed to be run by one waiter - who disappeared from view for 15, 20 minutes at a time! (Was he cooking the food himself?!) We waited forever for a bill and finally ended up leaving money on the table, hoping it was the appropriate amount.

I was pleased with the property and with its staff. I believe that shuttle service to the main lunch and dinner facilities would greatly enhance the use of your hotel. Also shuttle service to near by malls and there is at least one nearby mall that is perhaps under 10 km. Finally it should be offered to Highway 7 where bus transportation can be had to the Richmond Hill Station.

Rooms are saturated in cigarette smoke

Pros: Pool, hot tub, and gym were great - clean and plenty of towels. There were 2 showers right next to the pool and there was a spigot to wash your feet.
Cons: Non-smoking rooms should not be filled with cigarette smoke. Maintenance staff needs to fix issues and not just confirm the problem and walk away.
Location: Many stores and restaurants close by. Hotel is by 404 and hwy 7, so it's very easy and convenient to get anywhere you need to go.
I booked a non-smoking room. However, the room I got reeked of cigarette smoke so badly that I could not stay there even 1 minute. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. She offered me another room, but it was smaller than the one I paid for (there were no other rooms available on that day). The second room also stank of cigarette smoke but it was somewhat bearable. Air conditioner in the room stopped working all of a sudden. I mentioned this to the front desk staff in the morning and left for the day. When I returned in the evening the air conditioner was still not working. I called the front desk and they mentioned that someone from maintenance would stop by. A person came a few minutes later, looked at the unit, and mentioned that he will get someone else and come back. Two people returned almost immediately, examined the air conditioner. confirmed that it's not working, stated that maintenance is not typically available at that late hour, indicated that they would reach out to maintenance and return. They never came back. Fortunately, air conditioner turned on about 15 minutes later randomly. The same behavior with air conditioner occurred the next day.

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
Hotel is clean, staff is frendly. Good value for the price. Little bit noisy as it is right off HWY

Avoid This Hotel!

I travel for work and stay in many hotels - this was, by far, the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was small and filthy. There was mildew or mold on the bathroom ceiling - not good for allergies! The "queen sized" beds they advertised were actually doubles and were completely uncomfortable. Called the front desk for more towels and shampoo on the first night and was told to "come and get them". When we asked at the front desk for more towels/shampoo the second night, we were told to go back to our room and they would be delivered. 45 min wait for a shower. Frustrating! The attached restaurant was ok - complimentary breakfast was decent with a few selections. The service was adequate given how busy the restaurant was with the amount of staff they had working. An offer of another coffee would have been nice - once our food was served our waiter disappeared. The restaurant decor was kind of like when you are hanging out a bar and then they turn on the lights. It was clean, but sketchy looking. Torn carpets everwhere. The pool and sauna area were clean and everything was functional. The pool was HEAVY with chlorine, but understandable given the amount of guests. No lifeguard on duty. The "exercise room" was laughable. One treadmill, one recumbant bike and one weight machine. Definitely not worth the cost of the room. Would have checked out immediately if not with a large group. I've stayed in WAY nicer hotels for much less money. Avoid if possible.

Not bad

Got a room for a cheap price so I was a little scared of what the place is like, but the room was very good and I really liked the guy at the receptoin, he helped me out a lot with directions and adv ice. They had a business centre where I could check email and surf for free, this was great. Overall I would say this place was very good for the money even though it was not perfect

We didn't enjoy aour stay here. also the girl on the front desk was useless with information she knew nothing about the town. I wouldn't reccommend this hotel to anyome.
