I have never been in a hotel that requires the guest to request room cleaning. We called for extra towels and received them 2 hours later. There was only one concierge employee checking in and redeeming parking tickets. We had to wait 45 minutes in line to have our ticket validated. I will no longer book at The Downtown Grand Hotel.

Staff was great, the room could use updating, but the location is 1 block from Freemont St. and the continental breakfast was good. Would gladly stay here again. The $3 Nathan's hot dog and PBR was also a great deal!

The room was clean, and was likely updated within the last few years or so. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The shower was odd though, one pane of fixed glass covering half of the walk-in, and no curtain or anything to block the other half? Turning on the water to warm the shower up was difficult to do without getting wet with freezing water first. Be aware that your room does not automatically come with a mini fridge or microwave; we opted not to pay extra for one in our room. The valet at a lot of the hotels are closed, though we did not try this stay. The casino was clean, but small. Plenty of games and friendly bartenders. The restaurant next to the casino floor was not open for our stay. The hotel is very close to Fremont Street, which is great…unless you’re going to bed before the party is over lol but there was a message in our room for earplugs available at the front desk. Overall a good experience, and we would stay her again.

The casino and rooms have a smell of old hotels and smoking. The room itself had water stains on the walls , stained carpets. Pictures do not accurately reflect how dated the rooms are.

By saying OK, don’t assume that we thought there was anything wrong with this hotel. It was very clean tidy and new. I had no issues with this hotel and we would stay here again. We stayed here the first part of November. It was one block from the Freeman experience. Convenient. Shower online no bathtub. No refrigerator. The cleaning./ maid service spoke no English we had to use Google translate to communicate. We received a $13 one time credit for their internal café.
