Adequate stay for a flight from T5 Heathrow. Rooms are a little tired and shower wasn’t great. Staff friendly and rooms are clean.

The Thistle was comfortable and ideally located for the airport with a good selection of bar food provided.

Staff was professional, courteous and helpful. Rooms were somewhat dated but spotless. Linens were crisp and clean. My only issue was the long hallway walk to the room I was assigned. Food was good, served piping hot and served on a warm tray. I think this is their best asset yet. A vast array of choices at the breakfast buffet.

The hotel does not have a lift to the upper floors. This is a major concern to people with difficulties with stairs. We only found this out upon arrival. We had 2 large cases which we struggled with to the upper floor. No offer of assistance was made. The rooms are tired, cold and in need of a facelift. It looks like there has not been any decorating since the 1970s. The restaurant was nice. Food good although a bit limited to basic chips and burgers. Would I stay again .... No

Having visited this hotel at least 8 times in the past 18 months I was looking forward to my stay as they previously consistently exceed my expectations. Check-in was quick and super friendly. The room was the usual good standard. Breakfast was great as usual. My evening meal wasn't the best, usually I am singing the praises of this restaurant both in terms of quality and value. On this occasion I was served overcooked, dry chicken tenders as a starter, I struggled to try and eat one but had to return the rest. It was obvious from looking that they should not have been served, but believe it or not I am not a complainer, so tried to eat them. A replacement was swiftly delivered but nor real apology was offered, not even when paying the bill. I hope this isn't how things are going to be, as I make very regular use of this wonderful hotel.

Used for a quick overnight stop whilst transferring through Heathrow. Quick and easy check-in and room was decent if a little dated. Bed comfortable for a decent nights sleep.....only downside is the cost of the POD shuttle to get there and back!
