The hotel is near Time Square and close to lots of restaurants and Broadway shows. The room was clean and the beds comfy. We did have an issue with the AC the first night but changed rooms the following and no more issues. The Stinger is a great place to relax and wind day from the day.
We liked it was only a couple blocks from restaurant row and times square. We didn't want complicated and we could walk to the shows, jazz club, great food, and chaos. Then we could walk back to the safety of the hotel.
I think hotels in tourist destinations have become so expensive. A can of soda or small bottle of water at this hotel ends up over $11 with tax. A big water at the street cart outside the hotel was $4.
Bed was comfy, room was decent, and it felt very safe at the hotel.
This is my favorite hotel to stay in for work or fun when I’m in New York City! Convenient to walk places, directly next to a subway station, and excellent customer service all around.

Arrived after midnight due to delayed flight. Given room on 6th floor. Our family of 4 got to the room TV on, beds unmade, wet towels on the floor in the bathroom. Went back downstairs, given a room on the 4th floor facing the street where the early morning noise was so loud I got up to check if the window was open, which it was not. In addition to the customary “sorry for the inconvenience “ we were given a voucher for 2 “free” breakfasts which meant the other 2 family members would have to pay $38 per person plus tax and tip for breakfast. So ate elsewhere. Then for the mandatory amenities charge of $40 per night, you can get a food and beverage credit for up to $30 per day but only before midnight. So this hotel is not worth the hassle.
Room was nice and clean, very easy proximity to all things Times Square, concierge was very helpful for best restaurants without needing reservations. I would stay here again. Traveled in with my 12 year old to take her to a summer camp.
I didn’t see a little store on site for sundries, which would have been nice, and we did have some leftover dinner that we ended up having to toss because the fridge in the room was their a la carte mini bar.
